Description
Welcome to La Petite Maison in the beautiful Languedoc region of Southern France known as Minervois. This family home is a perfect place to get away for a relaxing holiday or longer stay in one of the most beautiful and tranquil areas of Europe. La Petite Maison stands roughly in the centre of the former medieval castle complex that once was much larger and was used to protect the inhabitants of this peaceful southern French village from any attacks by knights from the neighbouring regions. The space Built around the late 1800s, La Petite Maison was originally occupied by a vineyard workman and his family. It was completely renovated from top to bottom last year with the idea of retaining a local feeling. The property is accessed through an iron gate making it safe for children. There's a charming patio/terrace where one can enjoy peaceful afternoon naps on a hammock under the tree, & great dinners al fresco. The 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom can accommodate 5+ guests comfortably. The owners have placed a great emphasis on the furniture around the house as well as a fully equipped kitchen as cooking is a fundamental national pass time here in France. After crossing the patio one enters directly into the living/dining room. A separate door enters the kitchen from the patio as well. The living room has a large table that can accommodate up to 6 guests, many comfortable armchairs, a cupboard filled with enough dishware, silverware, and glasses to accommodate your group. On that level & next door, there is a separated pantry where a fireplace can be used as a BBQ. Also on that level, there's a private garage with another toilet & shower stall. Going upstairs from the living room, one discovers the 3 bedrooms. Aside from a wide bathroom with a bath & a shower, there's also an office upstairs for your use. Guest access Full access to the house.
