Unique Anoi House - In the Heart of Skyros

Located in the heart of Skyros village, an intimate escape with many treasures to discover awaits you. A bright, spacious and fully equipped house that is only footsteps away from the town's main cobbled road, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Close to action when you want it and retreat to your private escape when you need it. A Stylish and pleasant space has been created to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The space - Anoi House was built in the 1960’s, but was never used as a home. Rather the previous owners followed the Skyrian tradition of keeping the top part of their building as the visiting space for celebrations. Friends and family would gather here for Namedays, Weddings, Christenings or any other happy event. The history of celebrations adds to the positive vibe in the home. Restorations were completed with lots of love early 2020 to ensure a comfortable stay with character and style. - Once you enter the original marble staircase, you can enjoy an open plan kitchen and lounge area which is separated by an island bench with stools. You will find a large and comfortable couch for you to stretch out on and relax. A highlight in the kitchen is the handmade plate holder on the wall which imitates traditional Skyrian living and is fully useable. Another highlight is the huge ceramic pot above the stairs, which has been in the property ever since it was built. - A charming bedroom awaits you, decorated with soft colours and textures. An ‘ECOMAT’ mattress, high quality pillows and linen for an unforgettable nights sleep. - There are two balconies: the first is accessible via the lounge/kitchen open space area. A perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee/tea or a glass of wine while at the same time, viewing below the winding cobbled streets and the enormous, iconic bougainvillea tree. The second balcony is accessible via the bedroom - an ideal space to enjoy a book or some quiet time, or simply admire 16th century St George Monastery right above you. - A reasonable sized bathroom with an opening window and large shower head. Solar panels also ensure consistent running hot water. Guest access You will have access to the whole house. Free Wi-fi is available in all areas of the apartment. Other things to note Even though the 2 balconies offer you a fresh, cool breeze, we have installed 2 air-conditioning units in the house. One in the bedroom and one in the open space lounge / kitchen, just incase you need it. The entrance has stairs. Registration Details 00001026720
