Escape to a peaceful adults-only retreat on our seven-acre farm in beautiful central Portugal. Choose between our two charming accommodations, both with access to your own private saltwater pool, and the wider farm and gardens. Poolside Rest: ideal for solo travelers or one couple, or Secret Garden Retreat: perfect for a couple seeking extra space. Travelling with friends or family? Both can be booked together. We live on-site in a separate area so your group have a completely private pool. The space At Agua Azul you have two choices - book either Poolside Rest or Secret Garden Retreat for one couple, or book both and bring another couple. Whichever you choose, you can be assured of a completely private accommodation as well as a private pool and outside spaces for your group. If you wish to spend time in the green, relaxing and rural outdoors, then this is the place for you. Poolside Rest is a one bedroom guest suite with a Super King bed, en-suite shower room and fully fitted kitchen. Secret Garden Retreat- a cosy wooden cabin, has one bedroom, a lounge with sofa bed, fully fitted kitchen and a shower room. No compromises on quality or luxury, set in the beautiful surroundings of a small farm - with a couple of mini goats , hens, ducks, (you can help with them if you would like to) three friendly dogs, and Zorro the cat who will greet you on arrival. Agua Azul provides quiet and calm seclusion, with a small woodland of oak and cork oak trees, a variety of fruit trees, including orange, lemon and olive, and lots of land to wander around, including our very own vineyard. You can lounge by the pool, enjoy the mini gym/activity room, or explore the local area. Nestled near the tiny village of Casal de Abade, Água Azul offers the perfect balance of peace, privacy, and easy access to some of Central Portugal’s most beautiful locations. Enjoy quiet countryside surroundings with a local café/bar just a short walk away, while the charming riverside village of Coja — known for its relaxed atmosphere, cafés, and restaurants — is only 10 minutes by car. The market towns of Tábua and Oliveira do Hospital provide everything you may need during your stay, and the historic university city of Coimbra makes an ideal day trip. The surrounding area is perfect for walking, cycling, and exploring authentic Portuguese villages and landscapes with several beautiful river beaches, including Coja, Avô, and Barril de Alva, within easy reach, offering clear waters and scenic spots to relax in. For those wishing to explore further afield, the sandy beaches of Portugal’s Silver Coast can be reached in just over an hour. As this is rural Portugal, you may occasionally hear farm sounds, including roosters in the morning.
