Description
Being one of the original fishermen's cottages on Dungeness, Seaview Cottage has been lovingly restored to cater for modern needs yet still maintain it's old charm with the original wood panelled interior throughout. It is perfectly situated with sea views to the front and the wild shingle beach known as 'The Desert of England' all around you. The famous RHDR miniature steam railway runs just a few strides from your front door and the Dungeness National Nature Reserve stretches out behind you. The space Inside Seaview has been finished in a coastal style with local touches gathered from the area. There is a log burner with some logs provided for guests use. The second bedroom in the converted net loft, although a little limited in height into the eaves, has proved to be a favourite with children and some toys are provided for their entertainment. There is also access to a small outside balcony and staircase to the shingle. Wi-Fi is available but is notoriously slow throughout Dungeness so may not be suitable for streaming or gaming. Outside there is a fully enclosed wild foliage garden with a small patio area. A lockable shed for guests to store any fishing equipment or cycles is provided with a garden table and chairs for al fresco dining available. Parking is available for 2 cars only and you must keep within designated marking posts to avoid getting stuck in the shingle. No camper vans are allowed unless parked at the top of the drive. Guest access All areas of the cottage and garden are for the guest's exclusive use. Other things to note A discount is now available for stays of 3 nights or longer. This is automatically shown on your reservation request.
