Guest access Apartment Lungarno Vespucci is at no. 18, Lungarno Vespucci. Thanks to its central location, it is generally not necessary to use any public transport to visit the city and its monuments, since they are all easily reachable on foot, as well as in a few minutes on foot one can reach the Fortezza da Basso Exhibition Center and the New Parco della Musica. Furthermore, thanks to the proximity to Santa Maria Novella railway station, the apartment could not be better connected by bus or tram to reach the tourist attractions that are a bit farther away (eg. Fiesole, Settignano, Piazzale Michelangelo). To reach the apartment from Santa Maria Novella RAILWAY STATION, you can take a taxi at a cost of about 12 €uros, but as it is so close by, it is advisable to take a short walk not longer than five minutes: leaving the station from the exit by platform no. 5, cross the tramway tracks and turn left into Via Santa Caterina da Siena - at the traffic lights, cross the street and take the small Via dell'Albero and keep walking straight until reaching the river - at the corner, turn left and the apartment is right there at no. 18. From Florence Peretola AIRPORT, the best option is the tram to the 'Alamanni-Stazione' stop - then continue as indicated above - the ticket costs €uros 1,50 per person. The taxi, on the other hand, costs about 25-30 €uro, but of course will go right to the building doorstep. From Pisa or Bologna airport, on the other hand, there are immediate connections to Santa Maria Novella station from where follow the directions as outlined above. Coming by CAR, on the other hand, one has to note that the apartment is located within the traffic restricted area (ZTL); therefore, these are the options: – either park the car in one of the municipality parking lots around the city centre at the daily cost of €uros 15-20 per night and then walk to the apartment; – drive all the way to the apartment and then park the car in one of the private garages in the city center at the cost of about €uros 25-30; the private garage will take care of notifying your car to the municipality in order to get the entry permit. Since Florence is not very large and driving around the city centre is not very easy, we strongly recommend leaving the car in the garage and plan on just walking around or using the bus to reach Fiesole and Piazzale Michelangelo. The car, instead, comes in useful to make some tours, such as Chianti, Pisa, Vinci, San Gimignano, Siena, Arezzo. Other things to note The whole apartment is available to the guests only.
