Two Sweet Bedrooms at Grandiflora!
Description
Great for a very small group traveling together! We operate a small vegetarian natural wine bar just below the inn that has been operating since 2020. The Gray bedroom is a cozy and compact room with a dining table and antique furniture. The Santorini room glows warmly in the afternoon sunlight and features a comfy reading nook! These two rooms are TV-free and they share a hall bathroom. There is also a coffee machine, mini-fridge, and microwave. The space This 100+ year old house is in a unique time of transition in a quickly changing neighborhood! We are a 4 year old establishment with a focus on natural and low intervention wines, healthy vegetarian dining in a homey setting, and sustainable gardening focusing on edible and medicinal plants. We owners (Erin and Jason) did much of the house conversion ourselves so there is a lot of unique character to the building and the experience you will have here. If this sounds like your kind of place, come and join us for a meal and some wine! It is important to realize that we are a fully operating restaurant in a bustling neighborhood, so please read the following closely: We are open in the evenings on the weekends, so you will hear noise from the restaurant until around 11 PM. The house is on a small street along which large trucks and busy workers travel from the shipyard starting around 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. They can be loud. There is also a bar that is located right across the street that is open until 2 AM and has an outdoor seating and play area. Torch Bistro is a popular place to get drinks and dinner, but it does mean that you will hear people and music until late at night from your bedroom. The last source of noise is a dog daycare that is located across the street. During the day the dogs will bark periodically, but at night it is closed. In an effort to mitigate issues with noise, we do provide a noise machine with several options. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden and patio during off hours. You are also encouraged to relax in the dining gallery porch downstairs during our off hours. There is a cozy couch as well as another table setting that you are welcome to utilize! Other things to note Please review the above information regarding noise levels in the neighborhood. If you are sensitive to noise, then this will impact your visit! There is free street parking available on Orapax Avenue and Boissevain Avenue. If you plan on parking more than 2 hours at a time between 7 am - 4 pm on Monday -Saturday, please let us know so that we can issue you a parking pass. We will also issue you a set of keys for your room and the front door to come and go as you need. There is a $20 replacement fee for the keys if they are not returned.
