Our two story with loft has an open floor plan. These 5 bedroom plus a loft has 3 baths, 2-car heated garage, grill, ski lift deck chair, and private hot tub. Sleeps 14 people. MAIN LEVEL (2nd Floor): There are 3 bedrooms - 1 king in master with a gorgeous private master bath with dual sinks, private TV and views of the ski slopes. The other 2 bedrooms have one queen each and share a full bathroom. DOWNSTAIRS: Second living room has a TV and couch over heated floors. There are two bedrooms - one has a king bed and ceiling fan. The other room sleeps 4 - queen bed with a twin bunk bed on top, and a twin trundle underneath. And a large closet. They share a full bathroom. Washer and dryer are located in their own private room. Garage is attached, and you can enter the house from either the front door or garage. LOFT: There is a queen pull out couch (it’s actually comfortable), gaming TV system, and small desk. MAIN-LEVEL LIVING ROOM & KITCHEN: Open floor plan! Kitchen has an island with 4 bar stools and 8-piece kitchen table that opens to the living room and large windows overlooking the ski resort. There is a 65” TV and gas fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with two ovens and a wine fridge. You can also enjoy our large deck with patio seating or private hot tub to take in the sights of the mountains and ski runs. LOCATION: Nestled in the Fraser Valley, with 13,000+ foot mountains towering over, it’s just 2 hours from Denver, and 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake. No need to fight for ski parking! Leave your car in the two-car heated garage and walk or take the free shuttle to the slopes. The free shuttle comes every 15 minutes, and for the adventurous, you can do a 5-minute hike across the street up a small hill and be at the base. We could probably call this a ski in/out but you do have to technically walk about 100 yards. There is a ski rental shop two blocks away next to the bus stop, as well as an aprés ski bar. For summer, we are home to Mountain Bike Capital USA, which turns the ski resort into a mountain bike park. We are also blocks away from the Fraser River Trail which takes you straight into downtown Winter Park (2 miles away). Have you considered the Winter Park Ski Train? In Winter, you can get to Winter Park from DIA airport! It leaves from Union Station in Downtown Denver. It runs from January through the end of March, Saturdays and Sundays with a couple Fridays too. The train drops you off at the ski resort base. The shuttle will take you to our shuttle stop. PARKING: 4 spaces total. 2-car heated garage, 2 driveway. Parking is very difficult in the area and we have plenty! There is no street parking. AMENITIES: Wine fridge, private hot tub, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, coffee maker, crock pot, gas grill, griddle, sleds, ski storage, hair dryer, pack and play, shampoo/conditioner and soap are all included. Board games and game table, too. Linens and towels (both for bath and hot tub) are provided. ACTIVITIES: WINTER ACTIVITIES: Downhill skiing, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, dogsledding, fatbiking, sleighrides, backcountry skiing. SKIING: Obviously, Winter Park Ski Resort is the main attraction for downhill skiing. The base sits at 9,000 ft with 3,060 ft of vertical rise, putting its beautiful summit at 12,060 ft. Trails: 3,081 total skiable acreage (1,246 hectares), includes 166 designated trails and 1,212 acres (490 hectares) of off-piste terrain. They have runs for all abilities from beginner to expert and extreme. There are even snowcat adventures on mountain as well as off-site cat skiing on Jones Pass through Powder Addiction. SUMMER ACTIVITIES: Mountain biking, fishing (fly-fishing, lakes & rivers), white water rafting, kayaking, paddling, alpine slide, golfing, summer tubing, scenic biways, boating, train rides, hiking, aerial adventures like zip lining, horseback riding, hayrides, art galleries. We are two blocks from the Fraser River Trail which is great for biking, hiking or snow shoeing. It goes straight into town. Being next to the ski resort, you can access Trestle Bike Park and numerous hikes. MOUNTAIN BIKING: Bike out the front door! Winter Park is the MOUNTAIN BIKE CAPITAL USA™ at Trestle Bike Park. With 600 miles of trails throughout Winter Park & the Fraser Valley, you're sure to find a mountain bike ride that suits you. Take a lift up and rip downhill at either Trestle Bike Park or Bike Granby Ranch, or you can cross-country across the singletrack and dirt roads - take your pick! Yes, you can bike up if you would like to. RESTARAUNTS: By foot, you will find many quick and casual restaurants. Derailer Bar is casual and great for an après drink post skiing, but Lime (Mexican) and Pizza Pedal’r at the base are easy too. There is also an après ski bar 1 block from us (A-Frame Club). By car, a 5-minute drive into downtown Winter Park (or a short, 2-mile bike ride on the Fraser River Trail), has many options.
