Description

Two-roomed flat independent up to 4 beds. It is provided of flat screen tv, kitchen area with tableware, bathroom with shower, washing machine, a balcony to have breakfast. It is possible to enjoy the terrace to have a wonderful view of the cathedral The space Casa Farella is an idea of Roberto Farella, a young and enthusiastic in collecting modern art pieces. In the age where everything is made up of plastic, the choice to go against the mainstream, to have back period pieces, carrying them alive to create a real setting, experienced, full of stories to tell, of people’s life who meet and share their memories. It is a residence situated in the heart of the old city of the “Lioness of Puglia”, Altamura, a few minutes walking from the cathedral, built by the will of Frederick II of Swabia in 1232, dedicated to Saint Mary of Assumption. Casa Farella is a ’50 style building, finely restored and provided with vintage furnitures. It offers furnished mini-flats, a terrace with a panoramic view on the Cathedral's bell towers. It consists of 3 two-roomed flats. The B&B accommodates up to 13 guests. All the flats are provided by flat screen tv, kitchen area and tableware, bathroom with shower, washing machine, free wi-fi, security-monitored parking lot for bikes, bikes rental. “Casa Farella” satisfies the needs of everybody who want to spend an holiday independently and relaxed, in the heart of a place rich of an ancient history, a town refounded in the middle age by the great Emperor Frederick II of Swabia. It is possible to visit the characteristic “claustri et strictulae” by foot, to admire a lot of churches, beautiful noble palaces. It is recommended to enter in some of the wood burning ovens to taste the "Excellency" that made Altamura so famous in the world: the first PDO Bread in Europe. The visit center of Lamalunga is only 5 km far from the city. It is suggested to reach the center to see pictures and video in 3d simulating the cave where the Man of Altamura is still present. This is an international discovery: it is a complete human Skeleton (Neanderthal) discovered for the first time in Europe. Only 3 km far from there it is interesting to see the Pulo, a deep Karstic Dolina with a diameter of 500 mt, deep 75 mt. These are only some of the most interesting sites that made Altamura so …unique! Altamura is only 20 km far from Matera, the city of Sassi, declared European Capital of Culture 2019, 13 km from Gravina, Castel del Monte (unesco site - 50 km), Grotte di Castellana (60 km), Trulli di Alberobello (unesco site - 67 km), Polignano a mare (82 km).
