Quinta do Seisal is a huge former royal & aristocratic home located in the heart of Sintra - the UNESCO World Heritage city renown for its stunning landscapes, gardens & refreshing coastal retreats. It is moments away from the city's romantic palaces, castles, museums, intimate inns, bars & restaurants. Built in French romantic style in 1899 the Quinta is now fully restored to its luxurious splendour from which to marvel at the spectacular vistas or to just rest and relax by the heated pool. The space This huge property and grounds consist of over 5,000 sqm (54,000 sq ft) . The main house consists of 14 available rooms over three floors including six bedrooms suites with luxurious bed linen and antique furniture and each with a fully equipped bathroom featuring double sized power-shower and extra large individual baths. A separate double bedroom with shared bathroom can be made available by separate arrangement. On the ground floor is a double aspect high ceiling Drawing Room which opens up directly into the gardens and outside dining area decorated with fine artworks, open fireplace, chandeliers, a television featuring cable and netflix. The property is served throughout by fibre fast wifi and there is a fully equipped library featuring an Apple iMac desktop computer and colour printer on request; The ground floor also features a spectacular dining room featuring a huge round dining table and antique furniture under an exceptional 19th century Irish chandelier and fine artworks. There is ample cupboard and storage space in each room as well as a total of eight balconies off all of the first floor rooms from which to marvel at the specular views of castles, palaces and gardens that surround the property. Scattered throughout the stunning gardens are several extra large dining tables seating 16, chairs and benches from which to rest, have a drink, dine by the BBQ, pick some of the seasonal garden fruit or to contemplate where and what next to discover in this unique Portuguese paradise. The house is also fitted with a large flag pole and there is parking on site for 6 cars and plenty free parking on the street too. Alongside the main house is a huge private well-heated swimming pool and sun decks and loungers and sofas. A child and adult bicycle are also available to guests on request. The external area of the property consists of over 4,250 sqm (45,700 sq ft) of beautiful gardens comprising flower beds, mature trees, several small fish ponds and ample space to walk around. Adults and children can have fun with our giant size outdoor games including chess and draughts. Guests can choose, if they wish, to play or walk with the family friendly resident dog or feed our silkie chickens or make use of the bicycles. A fully fitted spa with large steam bath, jacuzzi and sauna for up to 8 persons can be made available by separate agreement. The property features a large fully equipped kitchen with double aspect American style fridge freezers and double sized oven and many other appliances including soup makers, air fryer, and popcorn maker. Catering, staffing or butler or cleaning maid service can be arranged by separate agreement. Events over 16 persons are on request and subject to a specific fee which for events up to 50 persons is 5,000 euros. It is not possible to have large scale events at the property. In the garage are two washing machines and two dryers as well as ironing board with steam iron and trouser press. Sintra is a very safe area in Portugal. Nevertheless the property comes with a fully policed alarm, camera and security system and 24 hour staff on call. There is a Tesla EV charging point on site too. Guest access All areas. The property manager is on site and on call to assist you with any questions and will check you in and check you out in person. Other things to note Please note the swimming pool is only available during the summer. During 2026 this will be from 15 May 2026. until 29 September 2026. Outside of these times it will be on request and by separate arrangement and is weather dependant. The Spa House which is situated next to the main house can be available on request at a fee of 150 euros per day. This can include Jacuzzi and Finnish sauna, rest area and shower and toilet. A separate on site villa which can accommodate four additional persons (2 double bedrooms) and one bathroom (bath with shower and toilet) together with a kitchen dinner and reception room can also be made available on request for an additional fee of 350 euros per night.
