Welcome to smør! We look forward to welcoming you to our warehouse in the charming old town of Husum at the gateway to the Hallig and island world. Among other things, butter used to be sold here – hence the name "smør." Are you looking for a wonderful place to unwind and recharge amid nature, cuisine and culture – here it is! The space Our beautiful 64 square meters with a large living and dining area are located in one of the last old town stores in Husum – a stones throw from the harbor, restaurants, small cafes and sweet shops. From the apartment you look out on one of the most charming streets in the city: the row of water that connects with its cobblestone indoor and outdoor harbor. On the 2nd floor, we lovingly renovated the "attic" in the old storage and modernly equipped. We are looking forward to opening the doors to our gem! What the smør makes: Old roof beams and high ceilings meet modern, Scandinavian furnishings: this creates an apartment with a very special charm. The large dining and work table was made for us by a Berlin carpenter. Whatever you want to do in Husum and the surrounding area, we as Husumer know the most beautiful places and corners of the city and provide you with lots of tips. In a guide we have put together everything for a wonderful stay and of course we are always available if you have questions about the apartment or Husum! (We know where to find the best cheesecake in the world, the most beautiful swimming spot and the most rustic café!) What you can do with us: … mudflat hiking in Husumer Bay or on the Halligen … day trips to St. Peter-Ording, Flensburg or Sylt … with the ferry to the Halligen, Föhr or Amrum … watch at sunrise in the Vögel Nature Reserve ... jog and walk at the mudflats (like to ask Axel for the best routes) … swimming in the middle of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site … Cycling along the dike …. stroll through the little sweet shops of the Neustadt (1 minute away) … finally quiet shopping at one of the biggest fashion merchants on the North Sea (CJ Schmidt) … sup in the nearby Dutch town of Friedrichstadt … explore the old town on a tour with the night watchman … discover the only castle on the Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast and walk in the castle park between the crocus flowers … explore the numerous museums – from the pop spills to the North Frisia Museum to the Theodor-Storm Center …. walk in Storm's traces and discover the locations of the mold rider strainer (his residential building is right next to us) … enjoy the bathrooms and saunas at the Spa des Thomas Hotel (2 mins away) … eat the best cheesecake in the world at Café Jacqueline We wish you wonderful days in beautiful Husum – and look forward to seeing you soon! Other things to note Our apartment is in the middle of the city, about 10 minutes from Husum train station. By car, the journey is also relaxed: only about 50 meters away there is a large parking lot (for a fee), 6 minutes walk away you can park for free in a parking lot.
