Park View Studio Walking Distance to Royal Mile

Our cosy apartment is located at the entrance to Queens Park. This is a great and unique location enjoying the beauty of Edinburgh central park while being within walking distance to Edinburgh's famous streets and sites such as The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Grassmarket, Princes Street and much more. The apartment enjoys views of Arthur's seat from the living room. The apartment consists of 3 rooms split across two floors. The Ground Floor consists of the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining space. You can prepare your meals by using the hob and the microwave (there is no oven in the kitchen). There is a comfortable living area with a sofa and a dining table to seat up to 4 people. A smart TV is available in the living room and powerful WiFi is working throughout the flat. The basement floor has the bathroom with overhead electric shower and the double bedroom. They are not the largest of rooms but very functional! The whole apartment! We have a self-check-in system, so I won't be there, meeting you in person. But if you need something, you can always get in touch with me and I'll be happy to help! If you have questions or want more info about the property or the city, please let me know! Holyrood Park is a short walk from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in the heart of the city. It is a 640 acre Royal Park adjacent to Holyrood Palace. The parks highest point is Arthurs Seat, an ancient volcano, and sits 251m above sea level giving excellent view of the city; it is also the site of a large and well preserved fort. This is one of four hill forts dating from around 2000 years ago. With its diverse range of flora and geology it is also site of Special Scientific Interest. Within the park you can also visit St Anthony’s Chapel - a 15th century medieval chapel, Salisbury Crags – a series of 150 foot cliff faces dominating Edinburgh’s skyline as well as Duddingston Loch – a fresh water loch rich in birdlife. We recommend using Lothian buses. At 3 minutes' walk from the apartment, you will find a bus stop (Meadowbank Stadium), where you will have a choice of five different routes (4, 5, 26, 44, 45) to take you to the heart of the city centre, Princes Street. The cost of a single ticket is £2.00 and you can purchase it from your driver, day and night. Please, be aware that the drivers cannot give any change, so make sure you have the correct amount! Or you can easily pay with your contactless card! The beginning of the Royal Mile, where Holyrood House Palace and the Scottish Parliament are, is located 0.8 mile from the apartment and you can enjoy the 15 minutes' walk through the amazing park! In the kitchen, you will find coffee, sugar, salt, oil and tea. You will also find crockery and cutlery for your use, and cleaning products, too. There is an iron, iron board, drying rack, hairdryer, some stationery, a sewing kit and a first aid kit. We offer luxury toiletries (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner), single-use slippers and delicious biscuits! We are well served by public transport (stop Meadowbank Stadium or Meadowbank House). Parking is free at the weekend, but there is a new Pay-and-Display rule around the apartment that won't allow parking for more that 4 hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please check this matches your travel plans! There are streets with free parking a bit further from the flat! There is a large supermarket nearby.
