The space The apartment includes one double bedroom and one bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed, along with a shared bathroom and an additional WC. The spacious living room invites you to relax by the fireplace, and the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals. Step out onto the balcony to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine in the tranquil village atmosphere. The highlight of Casa Sofia #2 is the rooftop terrace, featuring a Jacuzzi, barbecue area, and panoramic views over the village and surrounding mountains — perfect for romantic evenings or friendly gatherings. Guest access The apartment is part of a building that consists of two completely independent units. This apartment is located on the 1st floor, while the other is on the ground floor. The 1st-floor apartment has exclusive access to the private rooftop, where the jacuzzi and BBQ area are located. Guests of the ground-floor apartment do not have access to this area. All indoor and outdoor spaces of the 1st-floor apartment are fully private for your use only. Other things to note Guests have exclusive access to all upper-floor areas, including the terrace, BBQ, and Jacuzzi. Heating is provided via the air conditioning system, and firewood for the fireplace is available at an additional cost of €10 per bucket. Spili is a charming mountain village (altitude of 430m) nestled at the foot of Mount Vorizis, an offshoot of Kedros Mount. Spili is famous for its Venetian “Kefalovrissi” fountain with 19 lion heads providing crystal-clear mountain water. In the village center, you’ll find traditional taverns serving authentic Cretan cuisine, cafés, and local shops, as well as supermarkets and other essential amenities — all within walking distance. Casa Sofia is ideally located in southern Rethymno, on the main road to Agia Galini: - Rethymno city: 30 km (about 35 minutes by car). - Beaches of the south coast: just 20 minutes away. From here, you can easily explore Crete’s natural beauty, including Plakias, Agia Galini, Triopetra, Kourtaliotiko Gorge, and Preveli Beach. There is a small public parking area next to the house, as well as a larger village parking area located about 180 meters away. For exploring Crete’s beautiful landscapes and beaches, a car is highly recommended.
