Onrus Cottage sleeps six and offers self-catering accommodation in a spacious and luxurious free-standing house in the quiet seaside village of Onrusriver, just 1.5 hours from Cape Town. Enjoy a large private garden, undercover barbecue and verandah, a well equipped kitchen with scullery, an outdoor shower and a rooftop deck with views of the surrounding mountains. The space Our 3-bedroom house with two bathrooms has a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, including a coffee plunger. There is also a scullery with a dishwasher, and a washing machine for your laundry. The comfortable lounge has its own fireplace, and opens out into an undercover verandah and indoor barbeque area. The patio opens out into a tree covered garden with a fire pit, perfect for relaxing. There is an unlimited supply of free firewood. The spacious master bedroom features a king size bed, a ceiling fan, a free standing bath and includes and a full bathroom with a shower. The two other bedrooms have queen size beds and plenty of cupboard space, and there is a second bathroom with a shower. Enjoy a sundowner on our rooftop deck with panoramic views of the mountains. Our uncapped 200Mbps fibre WiFi is available free of charge and we offer a Netflix-enabled smart TV. Enjoy our wonderful hot and cold outdoor shower. The property has a high wall and a burglar alarm, making it very secure. We also provide bedding and bath towels. Please bring your own beach towels. Guest access We have secure off-street parking for many cars. If you have no car, there are many taxis and tuk tuks in the area. There is free and easy access to the entire house and the garden. Other things to note Onrus Cottage offers a wealth of local attractions in the surrounding area. This is a special part of the world with so much to see and do. From whale watching and kayaking to wine tasting, hiking, mountain biking, shopping and more. The Hemel & Aarde Valley is a mere 10 minutes away and is home to 15 boutique wineries. A four minute walk will take you to Davies Pool and Jan Rabies pool – two fabulous local tidal pools, as well as beautiful cliffside walks at the seaside and many other attractions on our doorstep.
