Breathtaking Views - Cliffside Waterfront Retreat

The uniquely designed space has a bright and airy floor plan, with 2 built-in king-sized beds (plus a single), a fireplace, a lounge area which doubles as additional sleeping space (best for kids), a fully-equipped kitchen, a full bath featuring a two-person soaking tub, a dining area, and a 10 meter-long patio with a day bed, hammock and sitting area. Of course, all rooms have spectacular views of the lake and the majestic volcanoes for which Lake Atitlan is known. The space Perched 130 feet above the water, our cliff-side home offers breathtaking views of Lake Atitlán and its volcanoes. Surrounded by lush vegetation on 3 private acres, it’s perfect for relaxation or adventure: swim, kayak, or enjoy our spacious, well-equipped gym, dojo, ice plunge, meditation cave, BBQ area, and stunning viewpoint. It’s a scenic 10–15 minute walk along a panoramic path to restaurants and villages — or simply unwind, watching the boats glide by and birds as the sun rises and sets. Only accessible by boat or by foot ! Guest access Guests have access to the communal gardens and terraces spread across the property, a unique viewpoint atop a rock at the point, a peaceful meditation cave, and our private dock — perfect for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, or catching one of the public shuttle boats that pass every 15 minutes. You’re also welcome to use the well-equipped gym, the dojo area for yoga, the ice plunge, and the BBQ. There are three units on the property. The upper floor of the main house is home to your hosts, Jenny and Clemens, who are always available should you need any assistance. We kindly ask all guests to respect one another’s peace and to keep noise down after 9 pm. This is a tranquil retreat — not a party location. Other things to note We recommend not more than 5 adults in the apartment, sleeping in the raised beds. The floor mattresses in the "lounge" work well for 2-3 children. A pack-n-play style crib is also available. The property has steep drops so small children should not wander the grounds unattended. There is a dog on the property that likes to sleep outside the apartment door. There is also a cat that wanders about and likes people. Pests: The lake is in a rural, tropical area, which means bugs and insects are a part of life here. This area has a ubiquitous flat spider which will be found in every house despite the best efforts of any cleaning team. It is absolutely harmless. Rural Guatemala is also home to a non-lethal scorpion. Occasionally, you may find one in the house. We recommend using shoes when walking around at night/in the dark.
