The territory to which the village of Trevi nel Lazio - ancient Treba Augusta - belongs is located within the Simbruini Mountains Park, one of the largest natural areas in Italy, with about 30,000 hectares of protected areas and a network of over 40 trails that run through different natural environments and local realities of religious and cultural interest. Owned by my family for about 1000 years, it was intended to host bishops and cardinals, as Trevi was formerly the episcopal seat and summer residence of the pontiff of Rome. For this reason, it maintains the structure of a small monastery. The Caetani family of Pope Boniface VIII ruled the village until it was driven out in 1471 and the castle passed under the control of the monks of Subiaco. Guest access The Holiday Home has 5 beds, a bathroom, a large living room with an adjoining kitchen, 3 bedrooms including 2 double and one single, a panoramic terrace, and a living room for reading and relaxing. As the house is suitable for a contemplative, introspective and simple stay, away from the stress imposed by a society that is always in a hurry and always connected, it does not have any radio or television available. The silence of the mountains, sipping a hot herbal tea while immersed in reading, walks inside the village (in the process of depopulation), the possibility of pilgrimage along the paths of the Park, and visiting the places of the surrounding area will be the only distractions for those who need to lighten their minds by disconnecting them from the network that now absorbs all our energies in everyday life. In the house there are books and several board games, suitable for all ages to spend time pleasantly. Other things to note The fully furnished apartment includes a refrigerator and washing machine.
