The space We are a duly registered tourist accommodation/apartment in the Siena City Hall. Palazzo Accarigi, a historic building protected by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, is just in the heart of a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. ------------ This one-bedroom 430-square-foot luxury suite features a queen-sized bed, a living room with kitchen and a travertine marble bathroom. Overlooking magnificent views of Piazza del Campo, the frescoed living room offers a sitting area with the most comfortable armchairs to relax, a dining table for two along with a branded kitchen corner to prepare your breakfast or just for a light meal. Please note that you are RENTING A ROOM/FLAT, NOT A HOTEL ROOM or a b&b room. By staying here you will experience a travel back in time. You will enjoy a more authentic Tuscan experience than renting a hotel room, however, please note that we do NOT offer any porter service, (no) room service, (no) concierge or (no) reception. ----------------------- This place is SUITABLE for those who are truly appreciative of staying not just in a historic place, but in a MEDIEVAL building. Since this building is (1) bound to / protected by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, (2) it just RIGHT ABOVE Piazza del Campo and (3) it's just in the heart of a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE: it's extremely hard to get authorizations to make any change. Even if the suite has been completely restored and renovated, still, everything had to be done with respect to History. An 800-year-old-Palazzo-Tower doesn't have the same level of freedom to make changes and get authorizations as a modern building - has. As for the bathroom, even if completely renovated with the best travertine marble, it couldn't be done bigger than this. ------- HOW TO REACH PALAZZO ACCARIGI • Given the fact the building is a historic building just in the heart of a UNESCO World HERITAGE SITE, it is also in a ZTL Y (controlled traffic zone), a restricted traffic zone in Siena, severely controlled by municipal police and by a network of video cameras, it is not possible to get to the building by car. There are outlying parking lots and taxis to take you the rest of the way and that can leave you right in front of Palazzo Accarigi. _______ • We love your comfort! Since Siena is a hill town, where you have to going up and coming down all the time, and where you have many stairs and narrow steep streets everywhere, it is a significant challenge to navigate Siena while carrying your luggage.
