Bright and airy, with its rooms open to the eaves with exposed original beams. The cottage has its own large private garden with garden sofa suite, overlooking horse paddocks and countryside, as well as private parking for multiple cars. The cottage and its setting have a really peaceful feel, so great for relaxing and 'retreating'. The cottage is cosy and warm, with natural stone flooring with underfloor heating throughout, and a wood burning stove for cosy nights curled up on the comfortable sofas. The cottage is provided with renewable heat and electricity, with electricity coming from solar panels in the field, and heat provided by a biomass boiler, so a green choice too! The beds are provided with Egyptian cotton bedding, together with down pillows and duvets for a luxurious nights sleep. One of the bedrooms has en suite shower room with TV with streamed movie channels including Netflix. The main bathroom has bathtub perfect for a long soak.The peaceful garden has an outdoor undercover area with sofa, table and chairs, and a hammock chair, for eating al-fresco or just star gazing. Inside there is FREE wireless internet, so perfect for working as well as relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, hob, electric oven, air-fryer dishwasher, washing machine, cooking utensils, pans, crockery and cutlery. Complimentary continental breakfast goods will be provided; eg; tea, coffee, orange juice, cereals, bread, butter, jam, marmalade (subject to availability). The location is a perfect base for exploring the Northern Lake District, Hadrians Wall, South West Scotland and the Borders, as well as the historic sites of Carlisle. The cottage is in a very quiet rural location, yet is only 5 minutes drive from both the M6, and Carlisle city centre, so is also an ideal stop off on longer journeys.
