Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack and doggy extras. . Small, enclosed, courtyard garden with patio. 3 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Parking for 2 cars. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the grounds.. Jenny Spring is a traditional Yorkshire stone cottage situated in beautiful Yedmandale, near West Ayton, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The cottage is located on a non-working farm with a small caravan and campsite. The ground floor bedroom and bathroom is ideal for less able people. The patio is fenced and enclosed making it ideal for pets and children. For the outdoor lovers, there are lots of walks right from the doorstep, and the wildlife is in abundance with lots of deer in the region. Dalby Forest, famous for its world cup mountain biking challenges and Go Ape Treetop Adventure, is just short 20 minute drive away. Jenny Spring is a great base from which to visit the east coast, from Whitby down to Scarborough, Filey and the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington. See puffins and gannets in their natural habitat at the RSPB sanctuary at Bempton. The village of Pickering is home to the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, here you can catch the train up to Goathland, home to the TV programme ’Heartbeat’, and then onto Whitby. The medieval city of York is less than an hour away by car. Visit the famous York Minster, museums or enjoy a leisurely cruise along the river. Scarborough 6 miles. Lake 4 miles. Trainstation 5 miles. Shop 1½ mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles. Jenny Springe can be booked together with Kimlin Cottage (CC244066) to accommodate up to 7 guests.
