Bucolic cottage on the water

Orléans, located 1 hour from Paris, ideal place to visit the Loire Valley and its castles (Chambord, Cheverny, Amboise, etc.) Former boat garage built in the 19th century, with independent and fenced garden on the waterfront. A canoe is available for river walks. Close to nature, ducks, water chickens, swans, etc.. will live among you. The chalet is also close to an urban road to Orléans in 10 minutes. The space The chalet is an atypical small house of 30 m² that can accommodate 2 guests. It is composed of a living room with living room and TV. A fully equipped open kitchen with complete equipment: oven, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave). A mezzanine bedroom, accessible with miller's ladder without railings, as well as a small shower room with toilet. Guests can enjoy a private garden and a 2 seater canoe for walks on the water. You can also admire the wildlife and watch the boats pass by on the terrace or pontoon and even fish there. A small barbecue is also available to you. The cottage is on our property, so you will have to go through our garden where you can perhaps be welcomed by our 2 Dalmatians before accessing your little cocoon which is independent and not overlooked. Access will be via a small path with steps. Please note that wheeled suitcases will not be effective and access is not possible for people with reduced mobility. In winter, in addition to the electric heater, you can make a little flare-up for a romantic moment. We provide a small welcome basket, but we can also prepare a large basket for €25. If you prefer, you can also bring your wood, as long as it is small, thin logs of 30 cm maximum. We are in town, close to an urban road and therefore not in the countryside, without any noise outside. In the cottage, calm and a change of scenery is assured! You may be surprised by the time spent doing nothing while admiring the fauna, duck, water chickens, swans, frogs but also the flora that you will only see by the water. Waterfront! A beautiful place to enjoy nature, but also go to Comet or Zenith a few meters away and you walk through the historic streets of Orleans, or visit the castles of the Loire (Chambord, Blois, Amboise, ...) Guest access The Chalet is located next to Orleans and is accessible by train from Gare d 'Austerlitz (1h), then by tram (direct line), bus or taxi to destination, or directly by car (1h30 from the center of Paris). You can park in our private parking (but not fenced) in front of our property which is about 60 m from the chalet. Bikes can be put in our gated driveway. Be careful, to go down to the chalet, you will have to take a little wooded path. We want to point out that the place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility or disabilities. Do not provide large suitcases as your casters will be useless. Other things to note We are gradually renovating the cottage and the garden so that you like this place and we try to keep the soul and the atypical spirit of this historic place dating back to the 19th century. Highlights: The private garden, its terrace and its barbecue Direct access to the river 1 kayac 1 wood-burning stove For wood, please ask 48 hours in advance so that we can prepare it for you. The kayak is unsinkable, these kayaks have drain holes on their floor, which allows them to be self-draining. It is therefore normal to have water at the bottom of the hull. We added plugs because some people complained but we can't put them on all the holes, it would become dangerous because depending on the amount of water that would enter when the travelers paddle, it could sink. In winter, canoeing is not recommended if you are not equipped. Indeed the water is very cold in the winter and depending on the season, it can be difficult to practice this activity. In some seasons, the Loiret is quite high and the dock may be a little under water. It is therefore recommended to wear waterproof shoes (flip-flops, boots), because you will have to put your feet in the water to put the kayak in the water. Check-in is from 4 p.m. A lockbox is available for a free and independent check-in. Check-out is by 11 a.m. at the latest.
