Shabbotts Bay Retreat on Wahwashkesh Lake

Relax with extended family or group of friends at this brand new cottage, secluded in the woods on beautiful Wahwashkesh lake. Built in 2022 with 2 living rooms, 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Comes with a water mat, 4 kayaks, 2 stand-up paddle boards, a paddle boat and 2 canoes to enjoy the water. The lake has a 9 hole golf course that you can boat to and the lake is known for great fishing. Starlink Wi-Fi with higher speeds and unlimited data. The space Located at the end of a private road, the cottage is secluded and private. There is ample parking for 6 vehicles. The lake has a marina on it, 2 boat launches, as well as a golf course. There is a firepit, hammock and some water toys to use. The path to the lake is a gentle slope through the trees. Inside the cottage, there are amenities including Wi-Fi, laundry, dishwasher, central AC, and wood fireplace. There are games, books, toys, movies and foosball. Linens are provided, including pillows, sheets, quilts, cozy blankets, bath towels and tea towels. The water is from a well and treated so you can drink and cook with it. We provide all the cooking essentials – pots, pans, silverware, dishes (including plastic for children), bowls, corningware, utensils, drip coffee maker, kettle, teapot, toaster, hand blender, baking sheets, muffin pans, basic spices, dish and dishwasher soap, dish clothes and tea towels. There is a fire pit with seating provided for your enjoyment, near the lake. We provide some fire wood, but for multiple fires, it can be purchased at a local store. There are fire ratings posted which may include a fire ban. Before you have a fire, it is very important to check the rating to avoid visits from the fire department and fines. There are watercraft for your enjoyment and some life jackets provided. As per agreement to rent our property, personal safety when using the canoes, kayaks or paddle board is your own responsibility and we assume no liability in case of accidents or injury. The dock is large with lots of space for chairs and relaxing on the water. As per Whitestone by-laws, quiet hours are between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Please respect this so that we can continue to offer our cottage as an Airbnb property without issues. The maximum number of guests staying at the cottage is limited to 14 persons (including children). Please note that one bedroom sleeps 6 people in bunk beds, so it is preferable that at least 2 people are children. Day visitors are only permitted with cottage owner's approval. Additional guests camping on the lawn at any time during your stay is not permitted. If it is found that you have more than 14 guests staying at the cottage, you will be charged $200 per person per night, or if the number of guests is excessive and determined to be unsafe, you will have your booking canceled and be asked to leave. STRICT NO PARTIES POLICY. Parties will result in the reservation being cancelled and property must be vacated immediately. Pets are welcome and 2 pets are included with the price. A minimum of 7 nights is required during the high season (Jun 28-Sep 6). High season has check in/out on Saturdays. Prices listed on Airbnb include 13% HST. Other things to note The road is a private single lane road leading to the cottage for the last 5 minutes. Care must be taken while driving this road and if you approach other vehicles, you may need to pull over to pass.
