Creekside Cottage at Hanover Stables

Quaint tiny home located 15-20 minutes away from both Downtown Wilmington and the sandy shores of Wrightsville Beach. Creekside Cottage is in peaceful Castle Hayne on 53 acres of land that Hanover Stables calls home. Whether you’re looking for a unique getaway to relax and unwind, or need a place to lay your head while passing through town, let Creekside Cottage take care of your traveling needs. The space NOTE: The address provided upon booking is for the entire property and is not the exact location of cottage. Upon booking, guests will be sent specific directions to the cottage, which is about 200 yards from the stated address. The cottage includes a full size bed, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and portable cooktop. Have a third guest with you? No problem! The couch serves as another sleep option, as the back cushions are removable and provide enough space to curl up and snooze. An air mattress is available upon request, however, guests are responsible for inflating and deflating it, as well as covering costs if it becomes damaged during a stay. Additionally, guest amount is not to exceed 4 people. Guest access Entire space. Other things to note * The cottage contains an energy efficient heating and cooling unit that is adjustable within reason. * There is a smart TV with wifi via a hotspot. * Wheelchair accessible by the ramp that wraps around the backside of the cottage. * There are two fire pits across from the cottage that you are free to use responsibly. If you wish to use them, we ask that you please inform us so we can ensure they are safely put out once you are done. * Although the cottage is separate from the riding arenas and hustle bustle of farm life, we ARE a working horse farm, therefore, some noise is to be expected during typical work hours. Once dusk sets in, all you’ll hear are sounds of nature. A sound machine has been provided if you need it. * No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. * Please do not leave food or trash outside, as it can attract bugs and animals. If you have a full garbage bag to dispose of, please let host know and we will pick up to put in the dumpster. * No smoking inside the cottage, and please do not leave any traces of smoking outside of the home. * We love our animals, but at this time, we are not allowing pets inside the cottage unless there is consultation with the hosts prior to stay. This rule does not include registered service dogs. * Bugs are a common occurrence in rural settings. Our property has an exterminating contract, but the bugs don’t know that and still make their way into the home at times. Please keep the following in mind: bugs are a common occurrence in rural areas such as these, dead bugs mean the extermination is working, and it can take up to 24 hours for bugs to die after they have entered the home. * Please do not enter any horse pastures, touch the electric fencing, or feed the horses. HOWEVER, if a horse reaches out for a scratch, don’t leave ‘em hanging! They are highly socialized and love attention! *Interested in going on a guided trail ride during your stay?
