Relax in this calm, stylish home, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Washington State Forest on the Mass-CT border. The home is five mins to the bucolic town of Salisbury, 30 mins to all the amenities of the hip town of Great Barrington, and Butternut Ski and Tubing Center. In Summer, you can enjoy farmer's markets, grilling on the wrap-around deck, watersports at 'Twin Lakes'. Hiking can be enjoyed all year round, with access to The Appalachian Trail just 15 mins walk from the property. Third floor: 1) Main bedroom with oodles of natural light, a king-size bed, walk-in closet, ensuite bath (large shower with rainfall showerhead and double vanity). 2) Mezzanine library area. Second floor: 1) Open plan lounge-dining-kitchen leading to a wrap around outdoor deck: Dining table set for 6 people, with additional stools for 2 people. 2) Wet-bar area/ tea coffee station. 3) Shared bathroom (over-tub shower). 4) Bedroom with king-size bed. 5) Bedroom with 2 x twin XL beds. (request for conversion to a king-size bed). First Floor: 1) Bedroom that doubles as a TV and playroom den with a queen sleeper sofa. 2) Mudroom entryway with Foosball table. 3) Bathroom with shower and vanity that can be accessed from the bedroom / den and the mudroom. 4) Laundry area (located in bathroom). Access is via lockboxes located by the doors on both the lower and main level. We're available via instant messenger Whats App, and usually respond very quickly. If there are any issues, we have a key-holder who lives close-by. Salisbury and Lakeville are picture-perfect historical towns in Northwest CT. The town has several historic homes, landmarks, and a town 'beach'. Thanks to Salisbury's proximity to major towns of NYC and Boston, and the numerous boarding schools, Salisbury has a mix of full time and part time, 'weekend' residents, ensuring there's a variety of dining, and shopping options for a quaint, small New England town. No public transport available. The nearest Metro-North station to/from Grand Central station in NYC is 'Wassaic' on the Harlem line. This is a 25 minute car drive away. A car equipped with AWD is recommended in the winter season, especially as the home is situated off a private, unpaved road.
