This modernly designed home is situated​​ right across from the picturesque Cascadilla Gorge Trail and only 0.4 miles away from restaurants and shops on The Commons. Also, just down the hill from Cornell. As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the clean and modernly furnishings that make up the upstairs unit of our historic 1890s Italianate duplex. City of Ithaca Permit # 25-26 The space Welcome to​ 1890s Italianate. Originally built in the 1890s, this home has been thoughtfully converted into a ​tasteful​ duplex. You'll be staying in the spacious and modernly designed upstairs unit, complete with new hardwood floors and a brand new bathroom. The space boasts plenty of natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. At approximately 1,300 sq ft, you'll have plenty of room to relax and unwind during your stay. With central air conditioning and heating, you can expect to be comfortable no matter the season. We strive to offer great hospitality offering a renovated space with thoughtful quality design and linens. Our goal is to offer everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in this home away from home. The downstairs unit is also available an Airbnb. The entire 2,400 sq ft building, is also available as ithaca-1890italianate. Guest access As a guest, you'll have exclusive access to the entire upstairs unit of our beautiful duplex. Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy all the amenities this space has to offer, including the screened-in back porch. The building has a private driveway for parking. Please note that the downstairs unit may also be hosting other Airbnb guests and could potentially share the driveway. We kindly ask that all guests respect each other's space and be mindful of noise levels. We want you to feel completely at home during your stay with us. Please note that while the building has been freshly remodeled, it still maintains some of its original quirks, such as slanted floors and some sqweeks. Every effort has been made to sound insulate the floors, but please be aware that sound can still travel through the floors and vents. The space is furnished with a mix of contemporary and mid-century modern furniture, providing a stylish and comfortable atmosphere. We also believe in doing our part for the environment, which is why we provide environmentally friendly soaps for our guests. Lastly, we've taken great care to ensure that all items within the space are of good practical design. We want to make sure that you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
