Perfect for a family getaway or a small group of friends, you have direct access to the lake for less than most other waterfront homes on the lake. Only an hour away from Dallas, Cedar Creek Lake, combined with Island Park Cottage, is the perfect destination for those looking to escape city life for a few days. The space Location: -Gun Barrel City -Quiet neighborhood where you can walk or ride bikes. -2.1 miles from the local Walmart -5.1 miles from Brookshires (Mabank) -Gun Barrel City is home to most fast food and many restaurants Inside: -Open concept living room/kitchen -Kitchen includes refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, cooking spices, blender, food processor, toaster, instant pot/air fryer/slow cooker, pots and pans, dishes, and silverware. -Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus on tvs. -Bedroom 1: Queen Bed with Bedding and pillows. -Bedroom 2: Corner unit twin and full bed with nightstand. An additional twin hidden under the full bed. All bedding and pillows are included. -Bathroom: Stand-up shower and sink. -Sunroom- Sofa with queen sleeper overlooking backyard. The washer and Dryer are located in the sunroom. Full-length wrap-around drapery to provide privacy. Outside: The current lake levels are low. Take this into consideration if getting on the lake is part of plans. -Raised deck -Firepit -Professional cornhole game area -New lower and upper docks are located on a canal. The propane grill is located right off the deck. -Overhead string lights. -Paddleboard and kayak, as well as life vests, are provided. -Fish right from the backyard dock. -A stairway to help you get in and out of the water. -Multiple bikes for you to use (bring your own helmets) If you are bringing a boat, you can tie it up for the day at the dock. However, we do not recommend leaving your boat overnight, as there is no boat lift, which can be damaged if the water gets rough. Tying up to the dock is done at the guest's risk. We take no responsibility for any damage that could occur to your boat. The local boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away. -The new upper deck at the dock is perfect for sunset lake views! Things to note: Though this is not commom, due to the location of the area, power and internet can go out especially during storms. This is something that will affect everyone on the lake. If the power goes out and seems to be longer than a couple of hours, we will work to provide a generator, until the power returns. The internet is reliable, but things can happen at the lake and may not be available. Unfortunately, these actions are out of our control, and we cannot offer a refund if this happens during your stay. Permit # STR-2025-0014 Guest access You will have access to the entire property. Other things to note Located in Gun Barrel City, you won't have to go far to find some great restaurants or grocery stores if you choose to cook at home. We have stocked our kitchen with everything you would need to cook your own delicious meal and have included a backyard grill for your use. Dine al fresco on the deck overlooking the backyard and canal. If it's too hot or cold outside, our Sunroom provides the perfect space for you to enjoy the view outdoors but remain cozy or cool inside.
