Castaway Cottage

Castaway Cottage is close to the water. You’ll love this place because of its peacefulness and beauty. This charming ocean side cottage overlooking Eastern Harbor has clear water views and easy access to the water's edge for boat launching or beach combing via a 60 yard shore road. The cottage has delightful gardens stocked with shasta daisies, rose campions and pansies (to name a few). There is garden furniture on the lawn overlooking the flowerbeds and the ocean. The space Equipped with all modern conveniences (oil central heating, air conditioning, washer, dryer, smart TV, microwave, coffee maker and blender) the cottage is very comfortable. It It sleeps from two to five. Sleeping Arrangements: There is a master bedroom upstairs with two twin beds which are pushed together for greater coziness, there's a built-in bed in the lighthouse room downstairs, as well as new sofa bed in the sitting room. Guest access The entire cottage is yours to enjoy. In addition to the cottage and the lawns overlooking the sea, there are wonderful hikes and beaches around peninsula the cottage is located on. We provide maps showing how to discover these special places. Other things to note Located in an isolated fishing village, the cottage is only ninety minutes northeast of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and thirty minutes southwest of Machias.
