Private, family friendly home on a brick street

This late Victorian (1905), historical, three-story, two full bath house has a full nursery set up with crib, changing table and futon. It has four other bedrooms (3 double beds, 1 queen), couch in the living room, and laundry in the basement. There are two decorative fireplaces, a full eat-in kitchen with all the dishes, pots & pans, etc. and a dining room. There is a great deal of natural light and a large front porch for you to relax on. In addition, the backyard is yours to enjoy. The space I lived in this house for 20 years before I've turned it over to you, my guests. Recently, we re-painted the dining room, kitchen and one of the 3rd floor bedrooms. The 2nd floor bathroom sink is new as well. As with all old houses, there are some cosmetic flaws; most people call those character. There are four stairs to get into the house, so sadly, it's not ADA compliant. The house is heated with radiators. It's important to know that there are no radiators on the 3rd floor. We'll have space heaters for you, if you need them, but a pair of socks and a hoodie is usually sufficient on the coldest days. There is no central AC in the house. Most rooms have ceiling fans which really do make a big difference for temperature control in the summer. Three of the bedrooms will have window unit AC in the summer for your comfort. When I lived there, I had maybe 10-15 days a year I needed AC upstairs. We've got a Keurig for you with coffee and tea in the vintage, mid-century, kitchen circa 1960. Although this house sleeps 10 adults and a kiddo in the crib, this is NOT a party house. We don't mind if you have a few friends over but parties are not permitted. If you have questions about what this means, please ask in advance of your booking. Guests who host a party will be charged a $500 fine. No smoking, vaping or illicit drug use permitted. Guests smoking or vaping inside the home will be charged a $500 fine.
