Description
Newly renovated! Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Located a short 25 minutes from Nashville, it offers a quiet country location while having access to the night life of Music City. It is located in the back of famous must-see Two Foot Cove on Old Hickory Lake that is accessible by kayak or canoe. There is a marina with full service restaurant and rental boats 3.5 miles or 7 minutes away. The space This newly renovated home features 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths and TWO living areas! Spread out, or cozy up! This home is great for families and friends to enjoy their time together. At "home" feel free to decompress in the hot tub on the patio! Please shower before entering the hot tub especially if you are returning from the lake.* There are both a gas and charcoal grill available for your use. Inside, there are smart TV's in both living rooms and all of the bedrooms. You can log on to your subscription services. But if you're looking for a more interactive experience, we have a collection of board games for you to play! The home is a split level layout. You will enter through the side door at the lower level consisting of the living room with the brown leather couch, bunk room, and laundry room. Up a short set of stairs is the kitchen, dining room, living room with the gray sectional, and the full bath with shower. There are just a few more steps from there to the area with the other 3 bedrooms and full bath with tub. Perfect for kayakers and canoers, you can slip your boats in to the cove and enjoy direct access to the lake. We have a canoe you may use with 2 provided life vests and oars (in the shed), but we ask you not to use them on your personal boats as they tend to disappear.* For larger boats, there are 3 launch points within 5 minutes. The middle of the cove is a bit shallow for larger boats, so do stay to the side as you navigate to and from the property. The cove depth ranges from 2-5' deep depending on where you are navigating and water level. Pontoons shouldn't have any trouble, but deeper set boats cruise in with more caution. The level of the lake can be very changeable and is unpredictable. We don't have a way to forecast the depth at any given time. Please feel free to reach out with questions! *see additional info below for all the nearby access areas* Looking to fish? The shore is Corp of Engineers property and therefore has "public" access and you can utilize the shoreline to get the best bites! Because we are at the back of the cove, there are rarely other fisherpersons around so it remains quite private. Please note a fishing license is required to fish in TN. Daily licenses are available. Guest access The whole property is available for you to enjoy! Please use proper water safety! If additional parking is needed, you can pull through the end of the driveway to park in the grass beyond it. Please do not park on the road if at all possible. Other things to note While the setting is quiet and more "out of the way" versus a downtown Nashville spot, it isn't far to get the things you need! Not only can you get downtown in a short 25 minutes, it's just a few miles to a Kroger and Publix, and just a short few miles further to a shopping area know as Providence. It has everything from Lowes, Walmart, and Target to PetSmart, JoAnn Fabrics, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Dick's, Old Navy, JC Penney.... and SO many dining options in between! See the guidebook for recommendations! We will continue to add to it, and welcome your feedback as well if you find a gem you want us to share!
