Just 4.3 miles from Deadwood and yet burried deep in the hills. There are 14 private, acres, including a real gold mine shaft. The gold bearing stream of Two Bit cuts thru the property. It is perfect for gold panning and exploring. The creekbed features 50 foot rock outcroppings on both sides of the stream. The home is a luxurious cabin with creature comforts including a slipper clawfoot tub, 2 fireplaces, strong wifi, verizon cell service and a profound porch for mountain air and relaxing. The home is named Destiny. The front porch is a vacation in and of itself. The home and its setting have been described as magical by 2 out of 3 guests, please read the reviews. Real logs in a very rough terrain setting that is literally creekside and simply breathtakingly beautiful. There really is a gold mine on the property that takes a bit of a hike to get to despite only being ~200 feet from the driveway. You have no visible neighbors whatsoever, in fact unless your in really good shape you have to drive to get to the nearest house. Wildlife abounds, including; deer, coyote, marmout, skunk, bobcat, elk, mountain lion, birds of all types and there are fish are in the creek. This home was built in 2009 and has just recently had all mechanicals replaced. There is a wood burining fireplace as well as an LP stove and a LP furnace with central air. The WIFI is fast and new. There are cameras for security. 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive are highly recomended from Sept 15th through June 15th as the higher elevations get snow! The home is warm, inviting and peaceful. The house is just under 2000 sf and besides the 2 queen size beds there are 5 couches. The house is pet and child friendly. Whole House is yours for the duration of the visit except for one closet, a cubby under the steps, and the garage. Golden Hills Subdivision, all luxary homes and cabins. 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is highly recommended from September 15th June 15th. ( it may snow). The roads are not paved but are smooth and maintained. The house sits at about 5100 feet above sea level and gets weather that is not the same as Deadwood or Sturgis which are only a few miles away and yet the weather can be much snowier and more windy than "in town".
