"Chez Louis" - Beautiful Pic Saint-Loup villa

Come and recharge your batteries in the hinterland of Montpellier. Located near Pic St Loup, about 20 kilometers north of Montpellier, between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean, this magnificent cottage in the middle of the scrubland awaits you. Oak, pine, thyme, rosemary... You will be amazed ;) nature predominates here. In summer, you will be lulled by the field of cicadas...and you can admire, at nightfall, the thousands of stars visible from the terrace once the lights are off... The space This is a new villa of approximately 100m2 with 3 pleasant bedrooms with comfortable king-size beds (160x200), and a large terrace of over 60m2 to enjoy good barbecues and aperitifs on the corner " garden Lounge". Here everything is thought out so that you don't miss anything and all the equipment in the house is new: stove for long winter evenings, table plancha, Weber barbecue, extendable outdoor table for 8/10 people, 2 deckchairs to relax , baby equipment on request (high chair, cot, carrier truck)... Guest access Travelers have access to the entire villa as well as its magnificent garden of over 2000 m2. A "petanque court" area is available in the garden. Pets that are not always sociable with other animals and/or with people are strictly prohibited on the property (there is another cottage nearby, so this may be a problem), in addition dog excrement must be picked up immediately. Other things to note Lauret is a small village of about 700 inhabitants. It has a grocery store open 7 days a week where you can find essentials, as well as a bar. The small town of St. Mathieu de Tréviers, 10 minutes away, offers all the amenities you need (Intermarché, wine cellar, doctors, etc.). Valflaunès, 5 minutes away, offers a lovely Sunday morning market. The Sommières market, located just half an hour away, is worth a visit on Saturday mornings. There are some beautiful walks within walking distance of the cottage (Moulin de Lafous, Mas Neuf, the Rocher du Causse archaeological site with a view of the entire Gard plain and beyond, the Pre-Alps, Mont Lozère, and Aigoual). If you choose to drive, you can discover magnificent sites, including a non-exhaustive list: - Tour the Pic St. Loup vineyards (map provided) and taste the local wines. - 10 minutes away: the ascent of Pic Saint-Loup, which is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful natural hiking spots in the region. From the summit, the view extends 360° over the entire plain and the coastline... Quite impressive the first time! The hikes to Montferrand Castle or the Hortus ridges. - 10 minutes away: Lake Claret, a magnificent wilderness site for enjoying a swim. - 10 minutes away: Lake Cécélès in St Mathieu de Tréviers, a magnificent lake with turquoise water where you can enjoy a nice swim and eat or drink a delicious cocktail overlooking the lake at the "Guinguette des amoureux". - Only half an hour away: several river swimming spots in the famous Gorges de l'Hérault with canoeing and kayaking departures (an activity suitable for children) or a visit to the majestic Grotte des Demoiselles. Visit St Guilhem-le-Désert, listed as "one of the most beautiful villages in France," and the Devil's Bridge (approximately 40 minutes). - The Chênes outdoor water park in Clapiers (20 minutes), the Roc de Massereau estate (zip line, XL via ferrata, river: 30 minutes); - And nearby: the beautiful towns of Sauve (20 minutes), Montpellier (30 minutes), the Pont du Gard site (1 hour), the beaches of Palavas and Carnon (40 minutes), the wild Aresquiers beach in Frontignan (50 minutes), the cities of Nimes (45 minutes), and Arles (1 hour). The arrival kit contains: a dishcloth, a bath mat, 1 dishwasher tablet, a roll of toilet paper, and soap. Linens are not included. They can be provided as a temporary service at a fee (contact the host). Housekeeping is an optional service ranging from €30 to €50, depending on the length of stay.
