Spend time relaxing with friends and family in one of our new rustic eco-lodges with wood-fired hot tubs and log burners - an ideal retreat all year round. How Stean Gorge is the perfect escape for those wanting to relax in the stunning Yorkshire Dales or experience one of our exciting instructor-led outdoor activity packages. Choose from gorge walking, abseiling, canoeing, caving, and the via ferrata - high wire course (£70 half day/£140 Big 5 - advance booking required). The space - Two 3 tier bunks and two standard bunks (sleeping 10) - Indoor log burner - complete with a bag of logs & fire lighters to get you going - Mini kitchen worktop area, fridge and kettle perfect for making hot drinks. - Access to facilities block, complete with underfloor heating - A BBQ - Heating & electric charging points (mainly 12v USB) - Covered veranda and seating - Free site wide Wi-Fi - Free parking close to each cabin -Bottom sheet and pillow case provided, please bring along duvet or sleeping bag. Our large modern, heated facilities block is only a few feet away from each lodge, with 10 toilets and family sized showers and hair dryers. You will also find our indoor washing-up area with fresh clean water straight from our spring. Guest access Our innovative glass-floored cafe, gift shop are open every day from 9am - 5pm (with last food orders at 4pm) How Stean Gorge is a steep-sided ravine and visitors can explore the natural tunnels and caves for an additional charge. Your ticket gives you access to the Gorge. Tickets can be purchased from our cafe onsite. Our Outdoor Activities are available to book online or over the phone. These are very popular and include Gorge Walking, Caving, Canoeing, Abseiling, Climbing, and Yorkshires only Via Ferrata High Wire Course. Other things to note What do I need to bring ? Bring your clothes and personal items inc towels, the electricity supply to each cabin is plenty to charge phones and other devices but won’t handle power tools so leave them at home Bring a sleeping bag or duvet, a bottom sheet and pillow case will be provided for you. Are there cooking facilities? A BBQ is provided with each chalet with charcoal and firelighters available from the shop. Apart from this there's no formal cooking facilities. These chalets are primarily designed for groups visiting our café. All cutlery, cups, plates and BBQ utensils are provided. Are they warm? Yes all the cabins are insulated and come with a log burner that will keep you toasty Is their wi-fi? Yes we have wi-fi the site has limited phone reception (EE) reception however Is it suitable for groups? the site is group friendly, it is a quite site in a rural setting if you are looking for a noisy weekend this might not be for you. Can I bring my dog? yes dogs are welcome as long as they stay off the furniture (may be subject to extra cleaning fee) What time can I check in from? Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 10am Is there a pub near by? yes there are two pubs within walking distance of the site. Both called 'The Crown' at Lofthouse & also in Middlesmoor.
