Olive Grove Cottage is a newly renovated characterful cottage in the heart of St Marychurch, Torquay. The house is just a stone's throw away from the golf course and only a 2 minute walk from a picturesque shopping precinct. Oddicombe Beach and glorious views from Babbacombe Downs are also within walking distance. Everything you need is on the doorstep, whilst Torquay town centre is a short drive away. The space The property has recently undergone a complete renovation so everything is brand new and has been thoughtfully picked out to enhance the stay and enrich the holiday of all guests. On entry to the property you will be greeted by a cosy open plan lounger / dinner with a comfy chesterfield sofa and 2 tartan chairs. An electric stove provides the perfect backdrop for cosy nights in. You won’t struggle to find something to watch on the Smart 4k TV either. The stylish dining room is a wonderful spot to enjoy sociable family meals, and the addition of tasteful artwork and trinkets makes it feel homely. The charming farmhouse style kitchen is full of modern appliances (including a dishwasher) and is a real joy to cook in. You will find a ceramic butler sink, as well as a kettle, toaster, oven, hob, microwave and all cooking essentials. The property has a stylish family bathroom, which boasts a luxurious double shower as well as super smart blue panelling throughout. Upstairs, there are two well-sized bedrooms that sleep four guests. The master bedroom is styled with pink panelling and thoughtful touches including a church style mirror. A king-size bed is topped with high-quality linens. There is also a Victorian style fireplace that is original and has been restored. Storage in the master bedroom consists of a wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. The second bedroom has twin iron beds, as well as a small chest of drawers, a bedside cabinet with lamp and gorgeous views over the garden and beyond. Enjoy meals outside in the sun-drenched garden. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy the view and have a barbecue during those summer evenings. The house itself has been finished to a beautiful standard with thoughtful touches throughout. This is a home that is bursting with comfort, and it makes the perfect base for a relaxing coastal getaway. Free parking is available outside and in the surrounding streets on a first come/first serve basis. The cottage is located in Torquay's peaceful suburbs, within walking distance of Oddicombe, Babbacombe and Meadfoot beaches. You are also a stone's throw from Torquay golf course. There is so much to do in the area: visit the stunning beaches, discover secret coves and take boat trips to spot wildlife. As well as swimming and building sandcastles, you can also hire a paddleboard and take to the water. Torquay has brilliant year-round attractions too, including the spectacular underground caves at Kents Cavern, Torre Abbey with its Agatha Christie-inspired Potent Plants Garden, Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones, Woodlands, Crealy Great Adventure Park, Pennywell Farm and much more.
