The visitor's tax is CHF 6.00 per night and per adult. Children and young people aged 6 - 16 years pay CHF 3.00 per night. Children under 6 years stay free of charge. As the host, we are obliged to collect this visitor's tax from the guest. In return, the guest receives a personalised guest card which entitles them to discounts on cable car and thermal bath admissions, free use of the local bus and free use of many sports activities in the sports arena, such as the gym, tennis, badminton, ice skating and much more. The background to this visitor's tax / tourism tax is that overnight guests use the infrastructure of the municipality of Leukerbad, such as waste disposal and the use of roads and paths. They compensate the municipality for this in the form of this visitor's tax/tourism tax. The check-in / check-out times cannot be changed due to the large number of flats to be cleaned.
