Description
Step into The Nautilus!— your cozy, submarine-inspired hideaway. Upstairs, your bedroom and bathroom overlook a spiral staircase that winds down to a fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove and oven, microwave, full-size fridge, toaster, and coffee maker. Relax by the electric fireplace, enjoy a meal at the small dining table, or curl up on the couch after a day exploring the Oregon coast. The space While The Nautilus doesn’t offer an ocean view, the beach is just 20 steps away. Step outside, inhale the salty air, and let the sweeping beauty of the Oregon coast unfold — waves crashing rhythmically, gulls calling overhead, and sea breezes carrying the scent of the ocean. This space is perfect for a short, refreshing coastal escape, with most of your time likely spent outdoors soaking in the scenery. Please note: the spiral staircase is narrow (20 inches wide with 9-inch-high steps) and the bathroom door is 24 inches wide. These features may be challenging for some guests, so we want to be fully transparent. We do not provide electric vehicle chargers, so please plan ahead. Guest access You’ll have private access to the condo, including both upper and lower entrances. Just one block from Highway 101, you’re within easy walking distance of restaurants, local shops, and a grocery store. To reach the beach, take 50 gentle stairs with handrails or drive down a paved ramp that leads right onto the sand. From April through September, you might even see cars parked along the beach when the tide is out — though twice a day, the waves roll in and clear the way. If you experience any trouble at check-in, don’t worry — call or text us anytime, and we’ll make sure you’re settled in smoothly. Other things to note To keep the condo allergen-free, pets are not permitted. This includes companion animals, and we kindly ask that you do not request exceptions. Parking in a beach town can be tight, but we provide 11 off-street spaces. Some are best for compact cars, while larger vehicles may prefer street parking. You’ll receive one parking permit at check-in — unpermitted vehicles are subject to towing. Extra vehicles can park along 14th or 15th Streets. Parking across the street is restricted from 1–5 a.m. Bring your own BBQ for a beach cookout, or light a campfire in the sand as the sun dips below the horizon. Driftwood burns beautifully once lit — a perfect way to end your evening. Other Things to Note The Nautilus features both interior spiral stairs and exterior doors to each level. Although it faces the back side of the beachfront building, you still have quick, easy access to the sand. Please, no smoking inside the condo, on balconies, or under covered walkways. A designated smoking area is available at the end of the property near the beach access. Enjoy the comfort, charm, and subtle whimsy of your own little “submarine” by the sea — a retreat made for relaxing, exploring, and breathing in the coastal air.
