Our secluded and cozy cabin, Carra’s Cabin, is furnished with one bedroom, full sized bathroom and updated kitchen accommodations. The deck features a private Hot Tub, a grill and outdoor dining area for the perfect ending to a perfect day of exploring. Carra’s Cabin is best suited for 2 adults, not suitable for children of any age. This cabin is located in the woods with 2 other cabins, each secluded from the others. Since it’s in the woods, wildlife may visit on occasion. Please remember that they aren’t tame. The driveway is steep at the bottom but levels off. The fire pit is a shared space as well as the overlook bench area. The loft above the kitchen has an air conditioner which can be turned on/off with the switch at bottom of stairs. The hot water heater holds 19 gallons, so long “hot” showers back to back aren’t recommended. The driveway is steep at the bottom, you may need low gear, but keep it consistent without hesitation and you should be fine. Continue to follow the driveway to the end for Carra’s Cabin. The lockbox is on the end of the cabin by the hot tub and the key fits the french door. Entire cabin I live 5 miles away, also in Saluda, so I should be available if you need anything. The cabin is 2 miles from downtown Saluda, on a gravel road. Pearson Falls waterfall is another mile past the cabin driveway. For those who enjoy hiking, you can access the railroad tracks about halfway down the driveway and follow it into Saluda. There are several dining establishments in town including: The Purple Onion, Ward’s Grill, Wildflour Bake Shop, Saluda Grill (at the truck stop), Back Alley Barn, Subway. For a list of dining options check the Saluda website. Parking is available in front of the cabin. The hot tub is not a pool. Please don’t add anything to the water or touch the “warm” button which changes the settings. If the settings are changed the water temperature drops and the water will turn green, after a couple of days it will need to be drained. We have a well so it takes several hours to heat up. If the water level gets low please let me know to avoid damage to the unit. The tv has some slight damage on one side.
