This spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom guesthouse offers over 1,100 sq ft of comfort and is located on our shared 5-acre property surrounded by nature, wildlife, and beautiful Texas sunsets. The Guesthouse is fully furnished with plenty of room to relax and unwind after a day exploring the property or nearby attractions. Large windows bring in natural light and peaceful views, creating the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch in the morning or soaking in the hot tub under the stars at night, life just feels a little calmer out here. Guests are welcome to roam the property and enjoy all Woodland Escape has to offer including the pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, Gratitude Garden, hammocks, and outdoor games. Don’t forget to visit Blue & Bell, our mini Highland cows, or stop by the “Chick-Inn” to meet the Spice Girls and Silly Goose. Fresh farm eggs are provided with every stay when available — one more little taste of country life. The property also features a covered outdoor kitchen with gas grill, wood-fired pizza oven, and peaceful gathering spaces perfect for relaxing with friends and family. You’ll often spot deer grazing nearby while enjoying the famous Wise County sunsets and starry Texas skies. Traveling with pets? We are pet friendly for an additional $10 per night/per pet. Other things to note Woodland Escape is a peaceful country property designed for guests who enjoy nature, animals, and outdoor living. Out here, we like to say we’re guests of nature — not the other way around. Along with all the beauty and charm of country life, you may occasionally spot bugs, spiders, frogs, snakes, scorpions, mice, raccoons, deer, and other Texas critters that also call these woods home. Our chickens and Silly Goose free range throughout the property and LOVE snacks from guests. Feel free to feed them leftover fruits, veggies, crackers, or bread treats during your stay. There is plenty of parking available for trailers, boats, and ATVs. We are located near LBJ Grasslands, Black Creek Lake, Texas Motor Speedway, and within driving distance of Winstar World Casino. Kayaks and canoes are available for guest use upon request. Traveling with pets? We are pet friendly! Please let us know ahead of time so the $10 per night/per pet fee can be added to your reservation. We also have a very social farm cat named Domino who may stop by to say hello and request attention from guests. He is not allowed inside the rentals, but he firmly believes he owns the property and supervises things accordingly.
