1908 Wild Bill Hickock Condo-Rustic Cozy 1900's Feel-Fenced Yard-Firepit Patio
Details
This unique, cozy western rustic condo welcomes you with floor to ceiling picture windows that open up to downtown Whitewood. Constructed in 1908, this ground level condo welcomed guests such as the famous Calamity Jane. Boasting a hot tub, 3BR, 3BA, covered patio, and lavish spacious rooms. 25 min to Rapid City, 7 min to Sturgis, 15 min to Deadwood, & 10 min to Speafish. Whitewood is centrally located in the Black Hills & sits next to Whitewood Beer Garden & across from popular Bullwacker's Bar. **This entire condo is ground level and wheel chair accessible with double doors that open up for an extra wide entrance** ***Don't forget the fur babies because we are PET friendly*** This is a unique experience you won't want to pass on! It's difficult to capture the sheer grandness and spectacular craftsmanship of the rooms in the photos. As guests walk in we often hear "WOW this is SO much more than what the photos look like". Out of over 20 rentals, this is the one guests often request to extend their stay or express their disappointment in having to leave. So as much as we try, it's nearly impossible to capture just how big the rooms are, how tall the ceilings are, and the amazing attention to detail throughout. It's one our guests truly need to see in person to get the full experience! Guests frequently describe it as mind blowing, stunning, jaw dropping, or a true diamond in the rough. This building is also family owned and managed so the love and connection we have to The Jones Building is evident in how we care for and decorate it. The Jones building is located on Meade Street in Whitewood, SD and was originally "The Jones Hotel", where Calamity Jane frequented on her travels during the Black Hills Gold Rush in the early 1900's. If you know Wild Bill Hickok, you'll know his beloved Calamity Jane! The only known photo of Calamity Jane was taken right out front of the building (and there's a story behind the photo you can read at the condo) The Rooms: All bedrooms equipped with linens (plus extra in linen closet), cozy soft blanket, quilt, pillows, and clothing storage (dresser or armoire) Master Bedroom #1: Queen Bed with full En suite bathroom Master Bedroom #2: Queen Bed with full En suite bathroom Guest Room: Queen size bed Livingroom: daybed Bathrooms: All are equipped with a shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1, liquid body wash, towels, hand soap, Qtips, and cotton balls. *Master En Suite #1: Walk in shower, large vanity, toilet *Master En Suite #2: Shower/Tub combo, large vanity, toilet *Guest Bathroom across from guest bedroom: Shower/Tub combo, vanity, toilet Kitchen: Equipped with Oil, PAM spray, salt and pepper (additional varying spices), Decaf and Regular coffee, Coffee filters, Green & Black tea (kettle provided), Sugar, ziploc bags, and plenty of cookware, cutlery, tupperware, and dishware for large groups. Whitewood is also the most central town in the Black Hills and a great lodging location for tourists and travelers. No matter what's on your list for site seeing, Whitewood enables you to be a manageable drive to all tourist attractions. Less time in the car, more time visiting attractions! A small family town with multiple restaurants, bars, grocery store, convenience stores, parks (yes hiking in the hills!), and a local police department.
