The Sandbox is located on a quiet street just steps from the beach. Enjoy your coffee in the large 3 season porch or take it go by the shore watching the dolphins play while collecting treasures from the sea. Bring your pup as this is a pet friendly beach! In the evening, build a fire right on the beach and take in the colorful sunset. The space The Sandbox is nestled among the evergreens and beach plums on a beautiful quiet street, just 1 short block away from Broadkill Beach. Walk along our pristine, pet friendly crescent beach for miles in either direction collecting interesting shells and treasures. Watch the dolphins play, as you watch your kids safely splash in the gentle waters of the Delaware Bay. Be one of the first to stay in this unique home, a cozy retreat which offers space for family gatherings with the ability of privacy. This charming beach house is perfect for family bonding, has all the comforts of home with natural light streaming in the windows, multiple places to relax, even an electric fireplace and free WiFi. There are 2 separate levels, which together can accommodate 13 guests. Each level is air conditioned and has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, kitchen, dining tables, living room (with futon or sofa bed), and a 3 season porch. The Washer & Dryer available for your use for light items in the lower level. Lower level full bath has a shower stall, upper level full bath as a shower/tub. Off-street parking available for 4 vehicles. Sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 (lower level): Double bed Bedroom 2 (lower level): 2 single beds Living room (lower level): Queen Futon Bedroom 3 (upper level): Queen bed Bedroom 4 (upper level): Double bed & Twin (Bunk bed) Living room (upper level): Queen Futon The 3 season porches provide a peaceful place, a sitting area for coffee or quiet meals, while taking in the sunrise or sunset. Each Kitchen is stocked and loaded with all the necessities for making and serving meals at home. Multiple dining tables give room for family meals, games, puzzles and family fun. Settle in at the end of a long day in either living room to enjoy streaming your favorite shows/movies on the Roku TV. Walking distance to the semi-private beach is a pleasure as there is nothing better than relaxing listening to the music of the waves with your tires in the sand. The beach access is at the end of a road, a very convenient and an easy walk from the house. In the shed at the end of the driveway, you’ll find a wagon to use for your trips to the beach. When you comeback, wash off the sand in the outdoor shower and then fire up the propane grill for a family barbecue! Broadkill offers a quiet, relaxing setting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kick back and read a great book on the private beach without the crowds of the public beaches to disturb you. Dogs are permitted on the beach year around and you can have a bonfire on the beach too! Kids will enjoy the small waves of the Delaware Bay as you sit in the water nearby. Visit the Broadkill Store which offers fishing tackle, an assortment of grocery items, sandwiches and great milkshakes to order, a small gift area, and don't miss the homemade donuts on Sunday! Guest access Guests have access to both levels of the home and the driveway shed. Locked workshop at the rear of the house is private and off limits. Other things to note **Please remember to bring bath & beach towels, bed sheets, soaps, toiletries and paper products (TP, paper towels). ** Beach chairs and umbrellas are also recommended. We do have a wagon available in the shed for you to use. **Split AC System just installed!! Updates made to the lower level kitchen & living room floor & bath!
