The space If you want to get away from it all, while staying close to all the High Country has to offer, this is the place! Porch Perfect is a log home on over an acre of loveliness, with its own duck pond! Located just a couple minutes from downtown West Jefferson, you’ll get the serenity of a “country setting” and still be just a quick hop from restaurants, entertainment and shopping. This beautiful home features a large, covered rocking-chair porch, overlooking a gorgeous, mostly-level lawn. This park-like setting, with the pond and mountains beyond, offers plenty of space for both play and relaxing. Here’s where the stress of everyday life slips away as you soak in nature, peaceful mountain views and cool mountain breezes. Rocking in an antique glider on the porch, you’ll enjoy conversation and a beverage with your favorite people, or solitude and a good book. There’s a grill for dining al fresco. You’ll also love star-gazing at night from the hot tub or fire pit! If you feel like some friendly competition, try your hand at corn hole or Foosball. Inside, the open floor plan includes a great room, kitchen and dining space, perfect for entertaining and family togetherness. This large space opens up directly to the outdoors and offers plenty of natural light. The great room has a convenient gas fireplace and comfortable seating for relaxing or watching TV. The kitchen features granite countertops, stainless appliances and all the supplies you’ll need to whip up meals at home. The wooden kitchen table accommodates 4 easily. A laundry area is available directly off the kitchen. Here you’re on vacation, so don’t worry about lugging your bags upstairs. All your living space is conveniently located on one level. The master suite comes complete with a king-sized bed, TV, and a private en suite bath, with a step-in shower and double vanity. On the opposite side of the home you’ll find a shared bath off the hallway, a bedroom with queen bed, and a third bedroom offering two twin beds. There’s also a garage for parking. Hard to believe this idyllic place has a near-perfect location, close to all the mountain adventures you come to the High Country for, as well as the amenities of charming downtown West Jefferson. No wonder it has “Perfect” in its name! Location, Location, Location! Porch Perfect is a great base from which to explore the High Country, conveniently located just off 221. In 5-6 minutes you can be in West Jefferson, enjoying small town America at its finest. Experience the shops, restaurants, breweries, galleries, movie theaters and festivals, and watch cheese being made at the famous Ashe County Cheese Factory. You’ll find several dining options here, including fine dining at Craft Bistro and Morchella Provisions. If you like craft beer, check out Boondocks and New River Brewing. Home Slice is the place for pizza. After lunch, stroll the main street and do some shopping, and be sure to explore the acre of treasures at Antiques on Main. Here in the Blue Ridge, the journey is as satisfying as the destination, with gorgeous scenery at every turn. (2) Screen print directions & codes (in case cell service struggles) & bring a flashlight if arriving after dark. Check-in time is between 4PM - 10PM (any later plans, please confirm with us).
