Visit local vineyards and thriving artistic and antiques community. Please be aware we require a separate lease and rental insurance. The space The house was built in 2012, inspired by architecture in Switzerland. Its location was chosen for its spectacular views of the valley towards Bromont. You can snow shoe for hours without leaving the area. The private heart-shaped lake (a very large pond featured in lots of websites) is accessed by a lovely path through the woods. We share Baker Pond with friends across the water. In the summer, you can also enjoy our heated infinity pool. --Three king-sized bedrooms (two ensuite), and two bunk bed rooms. One of the master bedrooms in on the ground floor. --Four full bathrooms, one with a bathtub. --A sunny, fully equipped kitchen, with plenty of counter space, pantry and dining table. There's a large mud room near the front entrance. --Open plan living room with fireplace and large windows throughout. Weights and a hanging punching bag are available. --Utility room with laundry facilities and a large freezer. ---During the warmer months, there's a delightful en-suite cabin that sleeps an additional 4 people as well as a sunny screened in porch and a covered deck that looks onto the infinity pool. Guest access Our house sits on top of a hill. The views are awesome but the driveway is quite steep and in the winter, a 4x4 is necessary. The road is ploughed regularly in the winter. See notes on safety below. Other things to note Please consider the following important notes: We have a no pets policy. Our house sits on top of a hill. The views are awesome but the driveway is quite steep and in the winter, a 4x4 is necessary. The road is ploughed regularly in the winter but it does take time. Weather conditions in the winter mean our private road and paths will be slippery and may not be cleared to everyone's satisfaction. During this period, the house may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or for some who require an even walking terrain fully free of snow and ice. Sturdy shoes with grips are recommended. You will likely have to help clear paths in front of the house at some point in your stay. This is part of country living! We ask that you take care when walking or snow shoeing and know your limits. The forest extends many kilometres behind our property and long hikes may be beyond the capabilities of some of our guests. More guidance will be provided when booking. We have a lovely, heated pool for the warmer months. As this house is a monthly or seasonal rental, you will be expected to help out in terms of maintenance (adding salt, cleaning filter as required, etc). Please note that the lease will state that we cannot give refunds if something breaks or if the pool needs to be shut for emergency repairs. Our house is not child proof: no gates on stair case, no covers on plugs etc. While we have had many young guests in the past, think carefully about whether you want to monitor young children at all times. On occasion, power goes out with bad storms in summer and winter. If either happens, you will have to be patient and understanding as we do not have a generator.
