Seaside haven with breathtaking Maria Island views
Description
A dreamy seascape welcomes you to a colonial style, timber home on a 1.5acre bush block. Maria Island stands proud between the Mercury passage and the Tasman Sea, with breathtaking views to Schouten Island and Freycinet beyond. An ideal place for couples or friends to spend quality time together amongst local wildlife, flowers and gums. A home for complete relaxation and memory-making. The space Merryway feels like you have stepped back to simpler times. Think pre-mobile phones, pre-social media, pre-‘modern worries’. It is true relaxation; what a holiday used to be, it’s a feeling you can’t put your finger on but one that we all long for. A time where your biggest decision is choosing what patch of sand to lay your towel on each day. Local crayfish on a bed of iceberg lettuce with cocktail sauce, fruit punch and salad rolls in an esky to fuel your full day on the beach. ------- Merryway is red cedar home set on a rolling bush block slope overlooking Spring Bay. Each room offers dramatic views of the ocean and Maria Island. The home is styled with bespoke artwork, vessels and textiles. Most of the artwork is by Australian artist Anna Tronson who paints joyful scenes in her signature colourful style. The main bedroom with ensuite includes a nostalgic 90s spa bath with jets. The upstairs loft is a cosy second bedroom. Curl up with a book or in front of the smart TV, cook up a storm in the well equipped kitchen, spend quality time with family and friends. We have split system heating and cooling to keep you comfortable. Guest access You will have access to the main house and garden on a 1.5acre bush block with a seascape as your backdrop for the duration of you stay. Other things to note Our upstairs bedroom has steep stairs which makes our home unsuitable for children. Registration Details DA2019/00040
