LOCATION-This beautiful historic single family home , nestled on a quite dead-end street, just a 2 minute walk to the start of downtown. Enjoy peekaboo views of the Piscataqua River that flows into North Mill Pond. A fully fenced in yard/deck/ bistro lights/grill. Enjoy a glass of wine and a nice meal with family &friends outside. Stylish furnishings, spacious kitchen, newer appliances, gas range,very bright home, 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, 1.5 bathrooms. Beaches, surf, SUP, Kayaking, all close by! The 1st floor exudes light, with lots of windows, living room, dining room, 1/2 bath, beautiful kitchen with direct access to fenced in back yard and deck. On the 2nd floor (about 12 stairs up) you will find a lovely sized bedroom with queen bed, A/C unit, lots of windows and closet, along with a master bath (with water views) across the hallway. Down the hallway is the 2nd bedroom with full size bed, A/C, lots of light, well equipped closet and built in dresser. From there you can take a few more steps (about 6) up to the 3rd floor where you will find a very spacious 3rd floor with 2 twin beds, a Queen air mattress if needed, 2 skylights, 2 windows, A/c Unit if needed, ceiling fan and extra space to lay down a yoga mat and have a nice morning stretch. Outside you will find a fully fenced in back yard, cafe lights, corn hole, grill, patio table, peekaboo view of the water with lovely breezes. The location is amazing. You can walk to everything downtown Portsmouth has to offer. From the great restaurants, to Prescott park, Pierce Island, Music Hall, Strawberry Banke, South End. There are so many amazing places you can access on foot or bike. You will be greeted with coffee & tea from our local cafe (b/c we LOVE to support the locals) and cream to start off your mornings. Surrounding lovely Portsmouth NH are: * Beautiful New Castle Island commons/beach is a quick 3.5 miles - you vsn nbike right from the house * Ordiorne State park is 3.5 miles * Sandy beaches of Rye Nh starting with Wallis Sands Beach which is 6 miles from the property, Jenness beach is just down the road from there. * Enjoy surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga on the beach, etc.. (the amazing thing about this area is you can enjoy a quick and beautiful coastal drive to all these locations avoiding all highway traffic!) * Kittery factory outlets are a quick 4ish miles away * York Maine, Kennebunkport, famous Nubble Light House are approximately a 20 ish minute drive via back scenic roads. The list is endless and I am available for suggestions on where to go and how to get there! Guests will have access to the entire home, fully fenced in back yard, patio etc I live close by and available for any questions or help during your stay Located on a quite dead end street just a 2 minute walk to the start of downtown Portsmouth location! You can bike and walk to town in 2 minutes, bike to Kittery Foreside in 5 minutes( on a beautiful cruise through downtown), bike to New Castle Island in 20 minutes and enjoy a swim at New Castle Beach! 15 minute drive to Jenness beach in Rye( along a beautiful coastal drive). There are endless things to do and enjoy at your fingertips! * There is a nice bus line in town to take you to Boston airport or south station, even NYC! * The city has rent-a-bike stations available * Portland is a quick 50 minute drive Please note this is a historic home built in 1850, thus with any home of this age, you will find some period details and layouts and maybe a squeeky door. There are stairs ( about 12) to the 2nd floor and 6 steps to the 3rd floor all with handrails. As always, please use hand rails whenever going up and down stairs. Being a historic home, the 2nd floor hallway is a little narrow. If you have young children, please inquire about the set up to ensure the home is a suitable option for your family needs. Parking - this is a charming small street. There is parking in front of the house on the street for 2 cars only. example, Mid size cars (ie 2 subaru's or tacoma style cars). If 2 large SUV’s, there are other parking options off the street. We are pet friendly! Please inquire and share more details about your pet before a reservation will be confirmed. ** dogs MUST be on leash outside of the home fenced area. This is for the safety of your pet and our neighbors and their children. * security camera details: located on exterior * A/C: in designated rooms * All guest names have to be on the reservation. The reservation is only for those who are noted. * Longer term stay also welcomed. Please inquire. Longer term stays subject to additional cleaning fee and pet fee, security deposits etc. * House Rules will be confirmed at time of booking * If I can accommodate an earlier check in or check out time, I will. Please ask. If you have specific needs, please advise and I will see if I can accommodate to make your stay wonderful!
