Our property sits right above the Cullasaja River so you can hear the rapids while sitting on the porch with some morning coffee! Centrally located between Franklin and Highlands/Cashiers in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you love the outdoors, fishing, waterfalls and hiking these are just minutes away. Come see why life is better in the country and southern hospitality is a way of life! The space We like to refer to this property as Turtle Haven! The house is 3 bedroom with 1 bath and a full eat in kitchen with easy access. We have a circle driveway and large flat lawn with a fire pit, hammock, grill and picnic table. The sound of the river from the lawn is so serene and relaxing. Lots of room to run and play or just relax. The house is named Turtle Haven in a tribute to our mom and dad. My moms nickname was “Big Turtle”. During her chemotherapy treatments she lost all of her hair and my dad said she looked like a turtle when she was in bed under the blankets. From that day forward they called each other “Big Turtle”. Most people around Franklin knew who you were talking about if you mentioned “Big Turtle”. This our attempt to keep there memory alive.
