At Emerson House Inn enjoy the frog pond & waterfall, the five balconies or decks all furnished with wicker. The Narramissic River is just across the road & Penobscot Bay is out back. Tire swings, hammock, flower gardens, 17 tall oak trees, gazebo, firepit, horseshoes & croquet. Beautiful setting inside and out. This house will take you back to the 1800's with its antiques, chandeliers and original pumpkin pine floors. Large tv in the relaxing lounge. Plenty of space. You will love it here! The space The original New England cape was built in 1790 and still has the Rumford fireplace, heart of the original kitchen. There were additions added on throughout the years with the Greek Revival wing and pillars being added in 1860. Guest access The entire house, except for a small efficiency apartment at the back of the house that has 2 quiet tenants. Other things to note The Emerson House is a great place to stay when you are in the area. Reminder that we have a no pet policy. Reminder that you should be honest when you book the number of guests as there is a $50 fee per night, for any guests over 10. We have baby gates for all stairways if you have a toddler. Please be respectful of the Inn and its furnishings.
