Description
Fall and winter bring a special coziness-romance to our historic 6 room log cabin with modern comforts. Book now for upcoming cooler months to enjoy quiet mornings/evenings on the porch overlooking the pond, walking trails, treehouse, and outside firepit. Plus enjoy the charming atmosphere of the cabin with its gorgeous antique wood. Not suitable for kids, 2 guests only. 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, no fishing The location is rural & safe Proximity: Statesboro, GSU, Reidsville, Glennville, Savannah The space From time spent on the porch overlooking the water to evenings by the fire pit, the cabin and farm are perfect for solo travelers looking for a break or couples looking to reconnect. PLEASE NOTE: We have 2 RV spots on our property located 100 + yards away from the cabin. And there's another modern cabin on the property. So the outdoor spaces may have others guests. This is a large property and we've tried to position each place so there is plenty of privacy. Wifi connection: you can try to link through our wifi connection in the cabin, but the internet service can be very spotty. Some guests have no trouble with connection, but others struggle. Tv internet works well. Indoor and outdoor games and books available. 2 bedrooms with queen beds (one upstairs, one downstairs) Full bath downstairs, Dining room, Living room, Half bath upstairs. Small kitchen has: blender, microwave, table top air fryer/convection/toaster oven, small fridge, waffle iron, crockpot, commercial hot plate, saucepans, and frying pan. Gas grill. Stargazing in front of the cabin, sipping a beverage on the back porch, or sitting by the fire pit are greats way to spend an evening. City lights have nothing on starry country nights. Guest access The rental is for the entire cabin and access to all the amenities listed and shown in photos on the property. Another cabin and 2 RV sites located on the farm. Other things to note Is this the right location and stay for you? This is a 183-year-old authentic log cabin (it's older than the Eiffel Tower!). The cabin is quirky and unique building like most historic buildings. ALSO, it's located on a dirt road, on a timber farm, in a small town. Some of the doorways are short by modern standards. If you're over 6 ft. tall you'll have to duck your head in 4 of the 8 doorways. We keep the cabin very clean, beautiful, and modernized with comforts. But it has stacked log corners so you might see a bug or a spider web. We try hard to prevent this, yet it happens with old school construction techniques; plus the cabin is surrounded by a pond and forest. Our farm is surrounded by forests which means we have wildlife: turtles, deer, otter, foxes, all types of birds, and things that crawl. Depending on the season/weather, you may see wildlife or only our farm dogs. There are no bistros on our dirt road, lol, but there are 2 coffee shops within 6 miles. Claxton has a great grocery store and a few restaurants. We're in a small town yet close to larger towns. If you love cozy cabins in a rural place surrounded by nature with peace and quiet ...THIS IS the place.
