In this guest house you are centrally located in historic downtown Jacksboro, one hour west of Fort Worth. Dining is within walking distance, as well as the courthouse and several small shops. Quiet and reserved neighborhood, plus you are at the ballpark, lake, or historic Fort Richardson within 5 mins! The Belknap House is perfect for families or couples but, unfortunately not construction crews. We have other lodgings available should you need construction crew lodging. The space The Belknap Guest House, a completely non-smoking property (Property is property, house is house; the house is located within the property) so PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-smoking PROPERTY. In addition, we also have a very strict “no pet” policy. We welcome one lone traveler, visiting Jacksboro for business, to a family looking to visit extended family our area. The layout of the house is interesting and more accommodating than you’d think. There are separate living areas on each end and on each end there is also a bedroom and full bath. The kitchen is in the middle of the mix. The home can be shared or one end completely blocked off as to accommodate the lone traveler, and therefore, the price could be adjusted. The Belknap House can also be booked as an entire unit which can comfortably hold four, or as many as eight, but please note: additional per guest charges will apply. Please give us as much information in the original contact so we can better understand your needs. You will be asked if you have read our House Rules and agree to abide by them. It is helpful if you read the House Rules ahead of booking. Security: For the safety and security of our guests and the protection of our home, all exterior doors have security monitors. Guest access Depending upon the number of guest booked, it is possible the additional bedroom will be locked. The house can be divided into two parts with only a shared kitchen. Or if only one traveler, the remainder of the house can be blocked off and rate will be adjusted. Email for more details. In addition, although the house can hold eight, it accommodates five to six nicely. Additional guest fees will be charged for guests over four (4). Some people tend to overlook the fact there are 2 Queen beds in one bedroom. This would be 4 of the 5-6 guests; 2 per bed. Then the King bed is figured at holding 2, which brings the total to 6 guests. We have clearly stated, although the unit could hold up to 8 guests, the air mattress would have to be used and there is an additional fee. In addition, guests over 4-5, could also incur additional fee per guest. Please analyze carefully if this bed arrangement works for your party for we do not favor using couches for beds. Other things to note House Rules are clearly posted in the house as well as recapped throughout this site. No smoking and no pets. Following the detailed House Rules (aka: Property Rules) will help ensure no additional charges are incurred. Also, please be honest about number of guests. No guests allowed over number booked, without “pre-approval.” Additional guest fee will be charged. In addition, for four day bookings, light housekeeping is every two days which includes refreshment of towels, spreading of beds, emptying of trash, etc. If Guest does NOT want this amenity, please let us know. And… In addition, if you are a Construction Crew please do not request to book. This location is not set up for Construction Crew lodging.
