Casa Duna - Beachfront Compound with Housekeeping

Nestled at the southern tip of the friendly fishing village of La Ventana, Casa Duna is built for relaxation and adventure with family and friends. The entire property enjoys spectacular seafront, the best beach in the area, and mountain and island views from almost every room. It's not unreasonable to say that it is the finest beachfront property in the area. The space The main house comfortably sleeps 6 adults and 2 children, with a trundle bed setup in the shared gym space connected via a Jack and Jill bathroom off the ground-level queen suite. The property also includes Casa Pitaya, a detached and private casita to accommodate 2 more adults and up to 4 children. **Please no groups of more than 8 adults** Designed by LA-based architectural firm Shubin Donaldson, Casa Duna was built to pay respect to the fragile ecosystem around it: primary structures are built from highly efficient recycled materials, solar panels provide both power and hot water, and the lush gardens are irrigated by waste-water. In addition to breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez and Jacques Cousteau Island (Cerralvo) , and miles of unspoiled beaches, it’s just a 15 minute walk along the sand to the center of town. There, and even in the immediate neighborhood, you’ll find casual and inexpensive restaurants with the freshest of seafood, simple and friendly bars, and even a few small spas. The compound is arranged around two beautiful buildings with guest rooms, two spacious palapas, two swimming pools, over 6,000 sq. feet of patios and shaded outdoor space, and extensive native cactus and palm gardens. We built Casa Duna for everyone, and have incorporated as many comforts as possible. At the same time, Casa Duna was designed to respect both the local village and the unique natural beauty of the area. Amongst many other amenities, the property features outdoor sleeping patios for starlight snoozes, a chef-inspired gourmet kitchen complementing an outdoor grill and wood-burning pizza oven, large air-conditioned living areas - although you are likely to prefer the sea breeze - a rooftop observatory, a small gym, highspeed WiFi, and more. Guest access Guests have full access to the compound during their stay, with the exception of the caretaker's casita above the garage, which is where the full-time house manager resides.
