The unique location is at the end of the road, which means you will have full privacy and won't be disturbed by neighbors while you relax while you enjoy the views. Unlike most mountain spots, our land doesn't 'drop off' with no ability for family to spread out or children to play; instead, the usable land on the property provides ample space for the family to roam around without any restrictions. You can even access the private loop trail, which starts and ends at the gazebo and fire pit area. We have enough space for parking 4+ cars, including under-building parking on the base level. You do NOT need a 4WD for our driveway except during extreme, extended snow/ice weather that stays on ground (not just simple flurries.) We have had plenty of guests with small cars, even motorcycles, who easily are able to navigate under normal conditions. Other things to note Border access to tri-state (NC/GA/TN) activities. The cabin is equal distance (17 minutes) between the downtowns of Murphy NC and Blairsville, GA and approx 30 min to Blue Ridge, GA and Copperhill, TN. MURPHY is the "City of Flowers", it is known for its beautiful downtown, nestled among 2 rivers with cute shops, eateries & restaurants. *3.4 mile Nature Riverwalk, very popular with locals and tourists alike *Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino *Fields of the Wood religious experience *rent a late model Porsche with Appalachian Driving Experience and zoom *Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway, popular motorcycle routes BLAIRSVILLE has an adorable downtown area with small shops & lots of restaurants. *shopping at Alexander's (local favorite) or for oddities at the Blairsville Pickers Barn *Grandaddy Mimm's (moonshine tours) *Brasstown Bald where you'll experience 360* views of 4 different states *4,180-acre Lake Nottely offers marina, boating, swimming, fishing, picnicking, hiking and camping *Vogel State Park is one of Georgia’s most popular state parks, has a 20-acre lake, swimming beach plus hiking trails and waterfalls If you're the adventurous type, check out the Appalachian Driving Experience, or try whitewater rafting down the Hiwassee River, or rent a boat for a day of water skiing and fishing on Hiwassee Lake or Nantahala Lake, all SUPER POPULAR things to do in this area. Zip lining can be done in Helen, Blue Ridge, as well as Nantahala. Horseback riding abounds in various towns, and our curvy mountain roads that crisscross are perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts. Two wonderful (and so different!) train experiences are nearby: 1) The Great Smoky Mountain RR in Bryson City, NC and 2) The Blue Ridge Scenic RR in Blue Ridge, GA If you're feeling aid back, play putt-putt with your family, go gem mining in various towns, racetrack in nearby Brasstown. check out area flea markets, antiques and festivals. Or head a few miles down the road to Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino for a concert or game playing! Murphy is home to an Alpaca farm, and you can even catch a rodeo in Blairsville or at the Georgia State Fairgrounds! --AREA-- Nearby towns are Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Brasstown, Hayesville, Franklin, Highlands, Cherokee, Helen, Mineral Bluff, Brasstown, Hiawassee, Bryson City, McCaysville, and Chattanooga.
