Detached house in Quinten-Au for up to 7 person. 5.5 rooms. Large plot in a unique position. From the terrace there is a wonderful view to the Lake Walen and the mountains. The village is car-free and only accessed by a charming short ferry boat ride. The space Chalet at Quinten-Au, East Switzerland (lake "Walensee"/Flumserberge-Heidiland). The south facing wooden chalet, in combination with rustic dry-stone walls, is situated in large and uniquely elevated grounds in a private car-free wine village at lake "Walensee". The grounds are located only 150 meters from the (gravel-) beach and from the harbour. They offer a nice panoramic view onto the lake and the "Flumser" mountains. There is a good connection to public transport throughout the year. On the inside of the chalet, there is a cosy main living room with open fire, a dining table (with highchair for children) and integrated kitchen and a small bar. To the south, there are two big panoramic sliding windows/doors one of which opens up to the terrace which is paved with flagstones. The lush planting provides privacy and allows the terrace to be used as an "extended living room" during the summer months. A large electric sun awning offers shade if needed. On the upper floor, there is a sleeping room with a double bed, a room with a single bed (+a travel baby cot) and a gallery room with two separate beds. The bathroom/toilet is also located on the upper floor. All bedrooms have their own sink and built-in wardrobe. On the ground floor, there is a 4th bedroom with a bunk bed, sink and built-in wardrobe. There is also a storage & laundry room with washing machine, freezer, storage space for the garden furniture and a mobile charcoal grill. You can also hang up your clothes for drying. The 8 cottages on the hill possess their own water corporation. The water which has been tested very recently is totally germ-free and tastes excellent. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms of the house, to the terrace and the garden which is about 1000 m2.
