Description
This quiet, spacious, and well-equipped Mojave retreat has all you need to enjoy this spectacular part of California. Backyard games, musical instruments, board games, a sunset-facing hammock, and a private hot tub—this is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring nearby ghost towns or Death Valley National Park. Also, our WiFi plan is very fast - 1 Gbps! The space The house has been carefully designed to give you a unique Mojave Desert experience. You will have the whole house and patio to yourself. The Sierra Room: Facing the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this cozy room includes a hand-painted mountain mural, dining table, and a game table with a cabin-in-the woods feel. The Desert Room: Facing Death Valley National Park, this room with another hand-painted mural will make you feel like you're already in the sand dunes. The Canyon Room: This bedroom includes a queen bed, a desk, and a private bathroom. This room and bathroom can be closed off from the rest of the house. The Cactus Room: This bedroom contains a queen bed, a desk, a rolling standing desk, and a shelf featuring locally-cultivated cacti. The Bunny Room: This cozy bedroom features a full-over-full bunk bed, a dresser, and chair. The Kitchen: Our kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and spices to make it easy for you to prepare any of your favorite home-cooked meal. Bathrooms: The Canyon Room bathroom was recently remodeled and tiled and features a new tub for you to soak in, as well as a Tushy bidet. The other bathroom is shared between the Cactus and Bunny rooms and features a high-pressure shower and Tushy bidet. Patio & Fire Pit: Outside on the back patio is a swing, two chaise lounges, and a table and chairs. Beyond the patio we have a west-facing hammock and fire pit to stay cozy on cool nights under the stars. Guest access Please park on the property rather than on the street. This will give you easy access to our automated side door entrance. Also, our street is narrow and we want to protect your car from bigger vehicles and garbage trucks that pass by. The side door on the north side of the house is automated and provides easy entry with a digital code that is unique to you. Other things to note For your safety, we have two camera-enabled Ring devices at the front and side entrances to the house. For your privacy, there are NO cameras inside the house or facing the backyard. The house is located on a third of an acre, but sound travels far in the desert, so please avoid outdoor noise after 9:30pm. We welcome families and have designed our home to make it safe and comfortable for your little ones! The space offers a Pack N' Play, a high chair, children's dishes, placemats, utensils, and outlet covers. Unfortunately, the wood-burning stove inside the Sierra Room is not in service at the moment. Our cooling system is an evaporative cooler, this is typical for houses in the desert. It's not as cold as an AC but it will drop the inside temperature by about 20 degrees. The barbecue is offered to guests, but IT MUST BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED after each use. If there's evidence it hasn't been cleaned, you will be charged a $50 cleaning fee. There are NO PARTIES allowed in this home. Any evidence of parties or noise after 9:30pm will incur a $200 party fee. The backyard is not fully enclosed, so dogs should not be left unattended outside. We have a 30ft dog leash so your dog can still enjoy the outdoor space.
