Lower Mountains Retreat

Situated in a bush setting in the lower Blue Mountains, the guesthouse is a cozy self contained retreat that offers partial views of the valley. Ideal for those wanting a quiet getaway. The space The guesthouse is located behind and above our garage (used for storage). Separate from the house, you have your own keyed entrance and covered car port. Upstairs to the loft encompasses a queen bed, ceiling fan, a second sitting area, a new air conditioner and a study nook. Downstairs is a shower, toilet, gas heater, living, dining area and a kitchenette. Please note we do not have a stove/oven however we do have a microwave, toaster, sandwich press , kettle, electric frypan, rice cooker and a pressure cooker / slow cooker. Included: Tea & coffee, breakfast condiments, shampoo/conditioner, board games, iron, TV with Netflix set up speically for you. We have plenty of Blue Moutnains information brochures, a book on local bush walks and a list of our favourite cafes and restaurants near by. Our daughter Amy has also made an 'insider' guide filled with photos and tips of all the things we love doing locally! What's ours is yours! Please feel free to enjoy our backyard. In the evenings, it is common to see the cockatoos swooping throught the valley to roost on the other side at dusk. We also have a gentle collie named Indie who will always be up for a pat. Other things to note Whilst operating in 2017 & 2018 we were superhosts. However, for the past two years we stopped operating as our daughter Amy used the space for her own accommodation. So, since the 4th of January 2021 we are excited to open up our private retreat. This break has given us the opportunity to renovate by installing air conditioning and a new staircase to replace the ladder that once provided access to the loft. It has also given us the time come up with new ideas to make the place quaint and cozy.
